Was re-reading Return of the Crimson Guard and found something interesting. At the end of the book, Hurl calls Liss, Lissarathel. To me, I thought this was a fairly similar name to Liossercal and thought that Liss might have some connection to the Tiste Liosan.
Don't know if this name comes up anywhere else, but I thought it was interesting...

I don't recall anything in the book that suggests a connection between her and anything Liosan. Her magic, what little we see until the end, is old school shaman.
SE being SE, it may simply being a coincidence, or possibly a linguistic link since figures like Osserc weave in and out of various mythologies.

I feel quite the opposite. She was a mage and a Sun Dancer, and believed to be a "reborn god", and definitely has some insight into High House Light. What with all the Liosan connections to Li Heng and the Protectress, it doesn't seem like a stretch to think their influence on the continent went further than that. She could be a watered down descendant, she could just be a human whose culture has remnants of a long-forgotten Liosan root, or she could be well aware of all of this but exist among a society that has forgotten its roots.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
