Is that true? I can think of a long list of 'civilised' countries who have never had a female prime minister/president. The Netherlands, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Russia, Japan, Sweden. and that's just off the top of my head (please correct me if I'm wrong). In actual fact, I think the list of countries that have had a female prime minister or president will turn out to be quite a bit shorter than those who have. UK, Germany, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, erm.....
