Looked over the results going back to day 1 of the group stage. Dang, England has kept a clean sheet. Impressive, considering some of the bonkers results that have come out of this Euros. A doff of the cap, stiff upper lip and a cheerio spot of tea to them. I did a Bing search, and I guess that is a Euros record? Brilliant. Pickford has one in him though. Come on Denmark!

Yeah it's a euros record. Danes might be the best performing side we've faced yet though so Wednesday will be tricky.

Part of me kind of wants England to lose. The gammons are already frothing about how superior we are because of football and the Tories are jumping on it to curry popularity. Makes me sick. England losing might just slow it down a bit on the xenophobia...

I mean, it won't, but it's nice to think that a bunch of racist bellends will be put out for a bit.

Watching it out in Newcastle I've not experienced anything like that, people are just happy enjoying the football in good spirits, it's good to see the country behind the team and the team doing decent after so many years of heartache.

Well, that was terrible.

There should be a rule. If you miss every shot in the game, don't go to the spot.

Olmo had a great game winning the ball, and causing issues to the D. But every attempt on the net was off. It just wasn't his day, same as Mbappe for the Switzerland game.

Uggh. Spain was clearly the better team. I just wish they tried t walk the ball into the box more, instead of taking all those long shots.

"cheeky.impudent.decisive." I love when the color commentator is done by a British broadcaster.

Those two goals during regular time were quality.

Amazing match. If someone would have told me even a year ago that Italy v Spain would be an enjoyable game, I would have laughed in their faces. But boy have these teams come on. Cannot see either Denmark or England best Italy. It is just a different level. This would have been a worthy final.

Soft PK. Stirling flopped and then got hit as he was already going down without the ball.

England played stronger since the middle of 2nd half, but I can't say they deserved that goal.

No strong opinions about the final. Might end up not watching it, if there's no TV at the cottage.

Did not enjoy that game. I thought winning a semi would make me more instantly happy. I just keep telling myself that grinding out a few results is a hallmark of a tournament winning team....

Mr PigDog says I'm in shock.

Don't usually watch it so I dont know who Sterling is but he missed every chance he had, and he had a quite a few!
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

He scored 3 goals in the Eros and was England's top scorer until Kane tied him with that double against UA, and surpassed him today by finishing that PK.

I'd rather have Brazil winning the Copa America.

Don't care who wins the Euro.

I used to work with an English guy, and all he would talk about was Italy. Footbally in Italy is better than anywhere else, this Italian footballer is the bees knees, and in any major tournament he would want Italy to do well over England. So I really want England to win just for that. In fact its more of a, I want Italy to lose. I have to say I was really happy when we scored that dubious penalty. I thought Denmark defended really well, other than the freekick they did not look a threat and we controlled the majority of the game. I really want to see Henderson happy on Sunday night. We have been given Monday off work.

I do not care about sports but according to Danish News last night England commited a grave injustice. They faked a penalty and apparently England clearly paid off the referee so they wouldn't check the replay. How can you people live with yourselves. shame. SHAME.
