Watched the first two eps of Netflix' STRANGER THINGS last night, and now I understand what all the hype is about.

Great fun show, really well done - solid scripting, great cast, decent pace, Winona Ryder...

Yeah, I think all the kids (especially El), and Winona Ryder AND David Harbor deserve awards for their performances...they get better and better with each episode.

Watched the whole season. I liked it a lot. The main theme is ripped right out of Mass Effect 1's OST (esp. Noveria music).

Much recommended.

I loved this show. I recommended it to people and got good feedback.

Finished. It was awesome, pulled all the threads together in a way so much tv utterly fails to do.

I love that when they asked the Netflix CEO about whether or not it would get renewed he said "Well, we haven't announced anything yet, but we'd have to be REALLY stupid not to."

And that the Duffer Bros. have a set layout for how S2 will work.

I just finished episode 5 last night. Hope to watch another 2 tonight. It's pulling on those nostalgia strings. Feels like E.T., Poltergeist, and Firestarter, and The Watchers all rolled into one.

Finished last night. Add Silent Hill and Aliens to the list (Winona's casting is even better).

It was fun (4/5). I think I wanted a little more closure or more details on what was going on at the facility afterwards.

Finally got around to watching this (been reading and hearing all the hype in the media for some time now). I really enjoyed it and will echo a lot of the sentiments that have already been stated up thread. The show really hits that sweet pocket for 80s nostalgia and the child actors are excellent. To add to the list of movies that it draws influence from, I would include a nod to "Altered States" (sensory deprivation). The show also has a stellar soundtrack to magnify that 80s nostalgia. One of my favorites being the Joy Division song https://www.youtube....h?v=oeQW2xCRCmQ. An excellent show. Looking forward to a season 2.
