I thought the trailers were done for the night when this popped up on the web, and I nearly had a fit...ran and grabbed my wife who was getting ready for bed and we watched together!

Man, that looks great. I love the idea of the fabric between the two dimensions seems to be fraying.

So, I can barely remember the first season now. The kid who has the vision/is momentarily in the upside down place at the start of the trailer, that's the kid that was taken, right? So, do we think most of what we see in this trailer is just his visions or do you think this new Lovecraftian monster is more powerful and capable of affecting change in the real world?

Can we talk about that excellent remix of Thriller? So. Awesome!

Also, that DRAGON'S LAIR game was SO frustrating to play!

Just finishing a rewatch of Series 1 now. Seriously, it's the best new thing there's been on TV for me in years. Very, very excited for the next series.

What I loved more than anything was how the kids being into D&D and all the other geeky stuff was incorporated seamlessly into the show and to how they dealt with what was going on around them. It's so easy to do a la The Big Bang Theory and throw in a geeky reference with a canned laughter track and expect a pat on the back from the audience. ST doesn't do that - it's there with purpose, and I LOVE seeing a show finally do that properly.

You should watch it. It blows away that mediocre Star Wars trailer that was overly hyped to air during Monday Night Football.

I should try and get my wife hooked on season 1...maybe after I finish marathoning season 2.

Also I wonder if Netflix is prepared. I can't remember them ever having a big server blitz problem before, but if it ever happens, this show is the biggest test so far.

I would have thought House of Cards was a bigger stress test
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

Just watched episode 1 of season 2. Great opener but I realized that I don't remember half the stuff that happened in season 1.

Didn't Eleven die?

Big sister visited some family that were looking for their daughter? Was she a friend that got eaten? I remember something about a house party.

Was the upside down creature kidnapping/eating lots of people or did it just steal that one kid?

I guess the subsequent episodes will refresh my memory.

We didn't know what happened to her at the end of s01. She disappeared when she killed the Demogorgon, that went splat and she went poof.

Yeah, they are talking about Barb. She was the friend that got eaten at the house party whilst she was alone at the pool, she'd cut her finger and the blood attracted the monster. We seen her in the upside down with a tentacle down her throat.

There wasn't any more reports of children missing IIRC, just Will and Barb that we know of. After that it was just eating animals.

--------------------

I'm 5 episodes in and I'll get it finished later today.

It is a really great watch, it just builds and expands on everything from s01, if you loved that season then you will love this - so far anyway.

I can't wait to see where it ends up.

The new characters introduced are also working well too.

There's a 3 minute video recap of season 1 if you scroll down to where the trailers are at the end of the list of episodes. Or there is here in the UK, anyway.

Okay, early episodes. Winona Ryder's boyfriend? Samwise Hobbit. Over under on him being a government spy sent to monitor the family?
