The abandoned stations are how they used to look inside. Cool if there are horrors in there too.
Greedfall doesn't seem to have anything new on offer, looks like a few older games rolled into one in the gameplay vids anyway. You'll have to let us know though!

You can only get one freighter, but I used to find a new battle after a few jumps.
If you dont like the class but you like the ship, reload to before the jump, go to the same system and fight again, and the class and slots will change. Or it used to anyway. It took me a few tries to get an S class, and that's once I found a decent one I liked.
If you can get your hands on a decent 48-12 max slot Hauler you'll be sorted for space. You just need the units. My selling strategy of crashing the cobalt market and buying it back has netted me millions each jump.
I now sell it all for about 7 million, and buy it back, plus more, for about 2. Then repeat in next system. It takes no time at all either.
The portal/stargate jumps are strange, because you get to explore a new system, but you can't access the galaxy map or the portal at the station - you have to go back through the portal. It really feels more like exploring a long way from home as there's only one way back. Only one more glyph to get before I go shopping for ships.

Welp got my B strength Activated Indium farm setup.
20mil/4 hours, and I can make it more, and faster, if I add more harvesters and storage units.
Sucks on Console your base can extend up to 1k from the base computer in every direction, but the trick to getting it to work doesn't seem to work for me at all, lucky I found power and a mine so close together.

I've called it Ghost. Extended front, turbines, wings, and tail fins, I love it! Such a cool silhouette too.

Next on my list is a red exotic that reminds me of Spikes Swordfish from Cowboy Bebop. Waiting on an exotic can be quite hit and miss though.

Where do you get these?
I’m still rolling with my original ship
I’m still rolling with my original ship
I started by just getting enough units to buy a bigger ship. When you have a freighter and the units, you can buy addition ships without having to trade them.
Every system has a set number of ships, the amounts and types depend on the economy of the system (poor, struggling, affluent etc) and whether they're Gek, Vykeen or Korvax. If you wait at a Space Station, they'll come in waves. If you find one you like, but it's a low class or got too few slots, if you wait or reload you'll get a different version.
If you have an Economy scanner in your ship (a must have really!) you can scan for a trade post in any system you're in. Land, then watch each wave of ships coming in. Each type has limitations; Haulers have the most slots, explorers travel further, fighters do more damage etc.
Exotics are something else. There is one type per system, they only come as an S-class, and they often don't have many slots...16 or less usually. They have a spawn rate of less than 2% though! So they're super rare.
When I first saw one I didn't have the units - they're expensive. I just went Wtf is that, because up close they have some awesome detail and etchings, and the wings were super ta
I've got two now, which landed while I was not even looking for one, but bought because they're rare and they look cool.
If you get all 16 portal glyphs, you can find ships on the reddit ship exchange, then dial in the address. Then go and hang about a Trade post or space station.

You can have 6. The exotics are just for having fun in once you don't have to worry about slots or space. I've now got a decent 38 fighter; three haulers ( cause I love the look) and two exotics, one of which has 19 slots plus 8 tech which isn't bad.
Exotics are kind of overrated but nice if you get one. They look different. They even sound different! And some have cool moving wings. I just waited ages for a specific red one. It finally arrived... and I didn't like it enough to part with my present one! Waste of time, so I'm off to do some more home improvements and upgrade my new Hauler.

I thought it was 9 because there are nine landing spots on your freighter, but I guess AI ships need somewhere to land too!
I haven’t found time to play NMS yet but will soon!

You can have 9, but if you have more than 6 no NPC's will land on your freighter. Not like it does anything for you anyway but eh.

I've got six, that's the max you can have. I no longer get the option to buy new ones, just trade in.
When you have under 6 you get the chance to buy or trade. If you see other players collections they don't have any more than that.

That must have changed with Beyond, you used to be able to have 9. Good info, thanks

Patch 2.12 out.
More daily missions coming up! Loads of fixes, collision crashes and that one that makes you jump when selecting things in the build menu which was driving me crazy building my house.
The daily missions send you off to systems where loads of other players are also sent. They release a new mission each day and the rewards kind of stack. You get quicksilver to buy the goodies in the nexus. Theres a whole new armour set to collect as the missions roll out; they do stack up to 3 so if you miss a day or two you can catch up.
It was good fun last time, even just listening to all the chat while people search a planet for items was cool.
Ha they fixed the cost of the suit upgrades so no more free ones, just as I maxed it out! Also they increased stacks again.
Haven't played for about a week, I was actually trying to have a break but just noticed the update!

Anyone checked out the new Nexus missions? There’s now daily Quicksilver ones and ‘encrypted’ missions, which have large rewards but you don’t actually know what the mission is till you accept it.
There’s also been graphical improvements made to PSVR apparently, so I’m going to have to check that out.

It has weird stuff on the surface.
I've done a nexus mission but I'm not sure I got more than nanites as a reward.
It didnt unlock the tier one stuff yet from the quicksilver guy, even if I did quite enjoy the mission to a desaturated planet.
Some Gek player just gave me a bunch of weird food while I was standing in the nexus.

Is the b&w something that been in game or just this recent patch? That shit was really cool looking.
It was in the game before, I landed on a planet like that a few months back. And yeah, it’s trippy, like all the colours had been sucked away by a black hole.

The community missions were good for seeing a variety of planets, as they sent all the players to the same planet; another got to choose what type the planet was. So it was a chance to show off the different types.
I've recently found metallic planets, which are littered with hovering, rough metal spheres with lights in them. The only lifeforms are globes of light.
I think the Finned planets have big arches across them. I found a Capped planet too, that had mushroom shapes across it.
But that desaturated one yesterday was my first; it was from a Nexus mission too. The visibility was awful during a storm, and while I was searching for Ancient Bones I was getting followed and hunted by big T-Rex type creatures. It was pretty fun.

Took a Nexus mission with another player, and spent a good 25 minutes at an outpost blasting loads of attacking monstrosities.
It was a blast.
(Don't take the depot missions, it seems bugged as you can't destroy the depot; you can blow it up but it doesn't register and you just spent a lot of ammo fighting sentinels.)
