Update.

Filming is currently underway in Vancouver, they've shot three (of ten) episodes so far and the show's budget is bigger than that of Game of Thrones during its first three seasons ($6-7 million per episode), although a long way short of the show's current budget ($14 million!).

Nope. THE CROWN has $12 million per episode, THE GET-DOWN was $10 million and Season 2 of SENSE8 was $9 million per episode. It's pretty high for a TV show though.

Now, feast your eyes on this. A fake in-universe advert and FOUR short teaser clips for the show. The one of the car rising through the clouds is next-level stuff, easily the best CG I've ever seen for TV. The bit where the guy gets shot through the head through the wall suggests they're not going to hold back on the violence either.

I've seen some more stuff from the show which I can't post for copyright reasons, but they are not holding anything back. The sleeve adverts in the Netflix promo have "tasteful flares" over parts of the body which aren't there in the original footage. So yeah, this is definitely going to be 18+.

I just hope that it's enough of a success that more Kovacs books are written. Looks promising though.

Morgan has said this is a possibility. He's not promising anything but he's apparently had an idea or two. Also, the TV show will be exploring events that take place between the books (Season 2 is likely to be an original story, for example, assuming that the books are Seasons 1, 3 and 5).

Same universe, so why not?
