skipped through, but did catch the Terez ref, pretty cool. id say I watched about 20 mins of it. very solid research clearly involved and fairly well presented, even knowing that the "NO BUT WHITE!" idiots will switch off in the first few minutes.

While I didn't think the ending of the series showed that WOT deserved to be as many books as it was, I solidly liked the first 5 books and enjoyed Brandon's wrap-up, so this series is an exciting prospect for me, especially the notion of the adaptation (which is gonna be different no matter what happens because Books To TV never translates exactly) cutting the chaff...and I could rightly care less who they cast in what roles as long as it's entertaining. And anyone arguing the races of fictional characters in a fantasy world are not operating on all cylinders as it is.

This looks pretty trash so far. The casting is "off"....like Rand does not look like Rand to me...I think only Moiraine and Lan give me the vibe, everyone else looks so far removed from the vibe of these characters...

The costuming is atrocious. Like CW level. Which would be fine if this was a CW show....but it's not, it's a Prestige show on Amazon Prime.

I'm very curious about the fur edging to the coats and outfits on like Rand, Nynaeve, and Perrin...like since when was Two Rivers, located almost in the South of the continent, a place where they would need/make fur edged gear? This ain't Winterfell Amazon.

Who wants to bet Amazon spent their wad on the LOTR/Middle Earth show, and this one got the dregs.

Yeah, not feeling this AT ALL.

But then, how much should we expect from former Survivor contestant, and CHUCK and HEMLOCK GROVE writer Rafe Judkins as show runner. I was wiling to give the benefit of the doubt to the guy, but yeah...this ain't it.

I thought the EW recap gave way too many props to Jordan. The books were really good, but not as groundbreaking as they make them out to be. I will certainly tune in to watch, and see if they did well with it.
