Good morning, my what lovely posting we have here. I guess while were on the topic of role knowledge ill confess i do have "inside knowledge"

Mages of various stripes, be they as specific as a conjurer or necromancer or as a general as a mage have the ability to create beings of magic. Some call them elementals others golems. Warlocks also frequently have abilities revolving around demons, be they summoning a demon army or having a little devil on the shoulder whispering all sorts of nice little things.

Gotta love how easily riled togg got just now. Maybe someone outta conjure up a bar of soap so he can clean his mouth.

With all that being said i can take off with this

vote togg

Won't be back before evening as work is kinda demanding (kinda envious all those who can do mafia and work at the same time)

Then this by Aranatha. Why don't you put some effort in.. fuck you too Aranatha. I play the game for fun, I had read the thread and read the OP but not put much thought into it until it becomes relevant. Fuck that. I play when I'm in work. I don't know about you but when someone starts a sentence with, why don't you, it fucking rankles me. Why don't you.. go suck a bag of fucking dicks

Why don't you put some effort into thinking of which classes would have extra alts?

Fucking twats.

This feels like distancing very much.

Quote

Cleric

Clerics are intermediaries between the mortal world and the distant planes of the gods. As varied as the gods they serve, clerics strive to embody the handiwork of their deities. No ordinary priest, a cleric is imbued with divine magic.

Clerics combine the helpful magic of healing and inspiring their allies with spells that harm and hinder foes. They can provoke awe and dread, lay curses of plague or poison, and even call down flames from heaven to consume their enemies. For those evildoers who will benefit most from a mace to the head, clerics depend on their combat training to let them wade into melee with the power of the gods on their side.

Clerics are the game’s main healing class, but can be much more than that, depending on what domain they decide to study in. No other class, however, will have the healing power that a cleric will have.

I wouldn't have thought necromancy would be part of the Cleric trade. Maybe a re read of the classes is in order, last time I looked at them was 10 days ago picking my class.

So after a quick read up, the only ones that are in the game that may have extra alts are the Bard, through illusions and the Warlock who has a pact with another being potentially.

The other one I noticed is that the Rogue can control lynch situations.

Quote

Their abilities allow them to reduce damage to themselves as well as control various lynch conditions.

You had no complaints then and actually followed Aranatha's suggestion.

This post might be of some significance too.

Aranatha you're on fire this game! Just did a quick read up and you're pulling out some great stuff!

Why the change in mood? I like where my vote is.

Oh poor you.

I am sorry for my absence from thread - when I signed up, I didn't yet know I'd be juggling multiple job assignments, several scouting trips for a new place to live plus an unresponsive estate agent: instead, it looked like two calm weeks ahead.
Hopefully things will get quiet next week, but with no grasp (I await your signalling cases) on the thread, I won't vote, not even for poor widdle Togg, who has no longer any toys in their pram, or so it seems.

and the bacon hunt is on is see.

wasssup people.

There was no bacon hunt. There was a single vote on Fener. Grasp didn't seem to worried about a 'hunt' in any case. It could be Grasp knows Fener is not on his team. Which would mean he has quite a bit of information about his team to begin with.

...Or he could be happy about something happening day 1. What's your deal Grasp? You leading? Be honest, let's not fuck around.

You want the truth? YOU CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kidding aside, i'd just reread the mafia championships thread and the rather well written fener introduction was fresh in my mind. Its not like we don't have a precedent for fener being lynched for inane reasons now do we.

@togg, my god how thick are you? you're telling me you've never played a fantasy game in your existence? Rangers frequently have animal pets of some kind. It's included in the general dnD lore as well as pretty much every fantasy mmo and who knows how many fantasy books. Im just making inferences based on the fact it's a game heavily influenced by DnD, which in turn is a staple in fantasy lore.

Yeah ok, but it isn't included in the role descriptions available to us. So either your suggestion is pure currently baseless speculation (based on the info available in the OP), or you are indeed speaking from a position of greater insight into the subject.

or option 3) its speculation based off a traditional understanding of how fantasy tropes work, which given the fact it's a DnD based game and how half the stuff reads word for word what you'd find in a dnd manual, isn't that big of a stretch. Ergo the statement is not baseless, nor is it a statement made from a position of real knowledge.

Agreed. Multiple classes, including rangers have had animal companions of familiars of some sort. This isn't reason enough for me to lynch Grasp.

This is going to be a fun game!

First off, reading the thread as a whole one can see vote patterns happening already. Given that, I began looking for people participating in the voting, but with little reasoning behind their choices beyond expedience. Leaders need to do appear to be active* but not gather actual attention to their activity.

This post by Telas, put in between their other posts of more general conversation, stood out to me.

There's been an awful lot of messages and alternate votes spinning up since Togg got to 3 votes and started to look like a viable train. I think it looks like we may have found a leader or at least an important role.

This might make it seem like I'm symping Togg, but I want to entertain alternatives before committing to a Togg vote. "we may have found a leader or important role". Why? Because it looks like a viable train? Hazy reasoning paving the way to an easy participation vote it looks like to me.

Vote Telas

*unless you're HO

You are right, that does look like symping. I put my vote on Togg because of his involvement with a spaz of joke votes at the beginning of the game which could be signalling. Then his "claim" that he doesn't care if he is lynched because he is a minorcharacter. Whenever anyone has claimed that, they usually have a good role. The flurry of resistance to a Togg vote has kept my vote there, so far.

I believe I'll go with an easy and simple way to decide on today's vote. This is a faction game on the first day. We have very little information. Aranatha has had interactions with the most people, or enough for fitting the purpose.

If this were scum and town, our information would start with an identity on some poor soul who found his way to the gallows, and the tiny bits of interactions of that day phase, then finally the choice made by scum on who to kill.

Today, we have interactions, and some odd behaviors. My advice for starting a factions game is to lynch a loud player whose made conversations with many people.

I also feel as if one or two players tried to subtly keep our attention off Aranatha. However, it's probably nothing so not pointing it out further unless Aranatha's death proves interesting.

Assuming this occurs of course.

vote Aranatha

I could change my vote to Aranatha, but his behavior screams symp to me. The problem is, he is so random I am not sure who he is symping. His vote then unvote on Togg were probably distancing, so maybe a connection there.

From my reread, I don't get enough sense on Grasp to say that he isn't on my team. The standouts still look like Togg and Aranatha, and I get more of a leader vibe off Togg.
