Chronologically, what comes after GotM - DG or MoI? And if the occur concurrently, which one should be read after GotM and why?

After GotM - DG or MoI?

DG should be read first. The end of MOI spoils the ending of DG so I would read DG first. Also, that's the order that SE wants you to read them. Publishing order is a good one in general. The list below goes mostly according to publishing order. In terms of chronology DG and MOI happen mostly at the same time. If I'd have to throw a guess I'd say that DG begins a bit later but ends a bit earlier.
Here's a list on the recommended reading order taken from the Wiki:
Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson
Novels of the Malazan Empire by Ian Esslemont
1. Gardens of the Moon
2. Deadhouse Gates
3. Memories of Ice
4. House of Chains
5. Midnight Tides
6. Night of Knives
7. The Bonehunters
8. Reaper's Gale
9. Return of the Crimson Guard
10. Toll the Hounds
11. Stonewielder
12. Dust of Dreams
13. Orb, Sceptre, Throne
14. The Crippled God
15. Blood and Bone
16. Assail
Personally I read Stonewielder and Orb, Sceptre, Throne after The Crippled God. Don't think there was any harm in it. The important thing is that you read Return of the Crimson Guard before Toll the Hounds and I'd also recommend reading Night of Knives sometime between DG and Return of the Crimson Guard.
Kharkanas Trilogy:
17. Forge of Darkness
18. Fall of Light
19. Walk in Shadow
There is also a bunch of short stories you can read, but it doesn't really matter when you read them.

But thematically, doesn't the ending of MoI serve as the beginning of DG? Also, I'm asking about the reading order on a reread, not for the first time.

A lot of DG and MoI is stuff happening at the same time.
But the author wrote them assuming you would not know about the MoI stuff while reading DG, and you WOULD know about DG reading MOI.
So I'd keep to the traditional order.

Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish
Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours
