Can't deny that, although I did try to vote yesterday, but crossposted with the day resolution. Did not anticipate the vote "shenanigans", figured we still needed two more votes and therefore had some time to make up my mind.
I'll contribute more in two hours, stuck at work for now.

Correct. It is a faction game. I don't know many who are in mine. Given our propensity for culture hunts, booboos tend to be deadly early game.
Ask Gait & The Wizards*

* = that ought to be a glamrock band name.

Well, the question then is why you were not willing to join in on the wizard culture hunt, as Gait basically admitted to being one on thread. Logical answer would be that you did not want to vote for your leader.

8 votes for a lynch, 8 votes to go to night.

8 votes Aparal Forge:
8 votes for a lynch, 7 votes to go to night.
6 votes Gait: Togg,
Remaining alts that may be the final extra alt are:
Kadagar Fant, Kessobahn, Ultama
I'm going to knowingly ignore the 2 votes less than lynch needed because no way in hell does my vote count for 3, instead there must be another mechanic at play.
Just looking at this post from Togg, am I correct in saying that Ultama and Kessobahn have not been on any lynch train so far?
Yes I don't believe that either one has been on a train. I also don't think that either one has voted at all over the entire game.

The same question could be asked of Serc who was online and posting, but was not willing to vote Gait.

I agree with that, but asking the question to Serc does not rule out asking the question to Kessobahn.

Actually, I did try to vote, as I stated in a post just prior to yours, only I did not anticipate the lowered lynch threshold. I thought my vote was going to put Gait at L-1, so I was took some time to evaluate before pressing "Add Reply", but in the mean time PS had already posted the day resolution. I don't think a willingness to put someone at L-1 shows reluctance to join a vote train.

Well, the whole Gait shenanigans happened outside of my timezone. When I came back online people were debating on what alt to lynch: Gait or Bek. While I was on, I gave a clear cut opinion that Gait was the main and Bek the puppet. On nearly the same page, people piled on the votes for Bek. I cannot do anything about that, nor waking up and finding out people speed lynched AF. Basically after that, Gait was going to die, as he should have day 1 - we just got a bit of an extra show from Togg and HP while stretching the day.

I was on each train so far, I wasn't going to vote early as we were getting posts from both Gait and Togg. The more information is good for us. When the lynch was called we had 2 hours on the clock. I was active on thread, pushing and prodding. Of course I was going to vote Gait that much was obvious after I had already had my vote on him for most of the day.

Has anyone seen the original Day 1 lynch post?
The land being given to another...
Maybe the factions are not so clear cut after all
Also Wizards are either threatening or trying to communicate with Barbarians.

The air was quiet; no wind brushed the long grass of the plains as they gathered near Allugath. Parley had been called; each could see the others now, wondering who had summoned them and why. The Wizards of the east sat atop their horses and eyed each other warily. The land of Allugath may have been holy to them, but its possession was now for anyone. The Barbarians' mounts were taller, rougher, larger than horses, some half-breed meant to carry them across endless leagues without tiring. They snorted and pulled at their reins, refusing to remain still. Only the Rogues stood, almost careless, though to underestimate their casual appearance would be to see them disappear like magic in the tall grass. They waited.
Suddenly a great darkness fell upon the fields of Allugath. With a blinding light and crash of thunder, the Cleric appeared before them. Though he whispered, the Cleric's voice could be heard as if he was all that existed on that plain.
"The Agreement has been broken."
As the three factions stood in awe of the Cleric, wind swirling around his cloak, they realized he had not spoken. His words indeed sounded in their minds. Even the Wizards marvelled at his power.
"As Allugath was once made in the cauldron of conflict, let it be so again! For one among you has broken the Agreement. Punishment must be swift, the betrayer identified."
The Rogues, Barbarians, and Wizards looked at each other now, seeing shadows where there were none before, flickering in the Cleric's storm of power.
"Already the rules of the Agreement begin to break down..." The Cleric's voice sounded far away. "The rules break down... Find yourselves, and each other, or Allugarth shall be given to another." He was nowhere to be seen as his words faded. For a few moments, the gathered factions did not know what to do.
Then, across the darkened plains, a figure could be seen fleeing the gathering. "There!" a Wizard shouted. He mumbled to himself as he prepared a spell. A Barbarian screamed with rage and sped after the lone warrior who had run from the Cleric's presence, charging downhill. Before anyone else could speak, a rogue turned to the group with a twisted smile. He raised his bow and loosed an arrow without looking back. As the Barbarian closed, the arrow fell without a sound and suddenly the running man exploded into a thousand shards of glass.
Pieces of something fluttered down among them; the same rogue reached out to touch the shimmering rain. "An Elemental," he said in disgust and nocked another arrow, cautious.
The Cleric's voice came from everywhere, soft. "Conflict remains. Only one of three may possess Allugath. Beware the Agreement; look to yourselves..."
The remaining peace of parley lasted less than five seconds before everyone turned and ran.
Bek Okhan has been lynched. He was a Conjured Elemental.
I had actually not seen that. It does imply that there is a 4th party involved.

Just making a quick announcement - there are no clues in the scenes.
This is a 3 faction game, there is no fourth party.
