Ok I must I missed something but I thought Paran became Kindly after he came back to the army and punched that officer or whatever. Can someone explain to me what is going on?

He only pretended to be Kindly so the guys there would listen to him, as Kindly was respected and feared while Paran was nobody and maybe even considered dead iirc. Punching the officer made him more legit because it perfectly suited into Kindlys reputation. I guess he revealed when he got enough respect (killing Poliel was enough imho).

I thought Kindly was dead? when did Kindly come back and Paran say "later guys"?

After Kindly&Co escaped that fortress in HoC they got imprisoned by Korbolo and after the ghosts attack he joined Bonehunters as captain.

Paran stayed as a leader of Dujeks army.
