honestly i dont see Sandor representing the Faith and fighting UnGregor. The Clegane Bowl will probably happen but later in the story. I think Cersei will win this trial and somehow wind up burning king's landing to the ground and then Jaime will kill her. She was the first out the womb correct?
rumor has it though that Ian McShane was casted as the Elder Brother and is involved with "bringing a character back"

I think this is the most excited I've been about this show ever, simply because I don't know what's coming. This is almost all going to be new territory for book readers. It feels nicer than I ever assumed it would.

Last year I felt dirty while watching things that haven't happened in the books yet. And Hardhome aside, I just thought that last season was fairly poor overall.

Season 6's budget was $10 mil per episode. Totally nuts. I know they push it around as needed, and a lot goes to CGI, but hopefully this means fewer poorly choreographed fights in hallways from 12th Unit director Gerbert the Eyeless too.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

After this season, GAME OF THRONES has only 13 episodes left.
Producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proposed to HBO that Season 7 should consist of only seven episodes, and Season 8 of six episodes. HBO are apparently considering this plan. This would allow more time for writing and more budget, production and post-production time on each episode. Apparently Seasons 4 and 5 pushed the show's production time to breaking point, and Season 6 pushed it over breaking point with the now-standard late-season large battle/vfx sequences (they had to draft in a lot of extra resources to get it down, taking the season budget to over $100 million).
It sounds like HBO will 100% renew the show for its final two seasons in a couple of weeks, but are still negotiating how many episodes are left. It might end up being more (maybe 7 & 7 or 7 & 8). But it looks definite that we're not going to get two more 10-episode seasons.

The other reporting on this suggests its not firm, but seems likely.
I`m good with this... would rather see them plan and execute a complete story than dragging it out.

I'm also good with this. Less is more. Winding this up in two short seasons is completely reasonable.
