The trailer gives nothing away. Just fills you with a sense of 'OMG I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THIS GAME! SO MUCH EXCITEMENT! I MUST DANCE A DANCE OF JOY. RIGHT.NOW.'
And then you may or may not dance for joy. XD

I really need to finish 3. I stopped cause I heard you had to be online with Live account to get the Galaxy at 100% and I don't have Live so I just stopped.
You don't have to do that to get all options. There's a few slight differences but all the overall outcomes are still the same. Really not necessary.

Second favourite Highwaymen song. Don't think 'Born and Raised in Black and White' or 'Seven Spanish Angels' would have really worked.
(My brother is named after Waylon Jennings and his grandfather was a roadie for Hoss when the Highwaymen came out on tour the year after my brother was born. My brother's grandfather mentioned to Hoss how his grandson was named after him and Waylon Jennings was so impressed he had one of his customised number plates taken off his car and gifted it to my brother.)

I wonder how they are going to justify going to another galaxy, like scientifically, because travel between solar systems and travel between galaxies if a huge different. That being said I'm pretty pumped.

I was actually thinking if this meant that they actually intend to place this in the andromeda galaxy, because that would be bloody awesome. But yes, how the hell do they get there?
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

A newly discovered, anomalous relay is my guess. Though one could hope for some more imagination from the writing team, but we shal see.

It's a N7 agent that much we know. The cool thing is that if they want it could be litterally any species because it's linked to the Citadel not Humanity.
Personally I would expect a completely blank slate.

Withe the Mass Effect relays I don't really see any problems in it. Hell if they want they can just make up a new technology. Like "Oh, look we found a Promethean TARDIS! Lets go on an adventure!".
I think the thing that is essential here is the opening. You see the character switching between views, picking one and then going there. It might just be for effect but I got the distinct impression that the technology the character was using allowed him/them to jump through space to the location he wanted.

I was hoping maybe it was far, far into the future, and all the tech and humans have become so advance as to be alien but from the teaser video it doesn't look like they have added much of that in terms of art design at least. Maybe repurposing Reaper tech, all of which can be connected to ending of ME3 without saying which is cannon (except of course refuse). IDK. Still at least I got a jet pack.

It did originally I believe ( you could not get one specific ending-after-the-ending), but they patched it away because they understood - on would hope - that it was entirely moronic a design choice to begin with.

I've come to realise I'm tentatively excited by this reveal. Problems with ME3 aside, I loved the trilogy though ME2 was the clear favourite.
I worry they've learned little and fear they'll take too much inspiration from DA:I, but still, I'm excited.

DA:I was a step backwards in so many ways. I will be really disappointed if they apply the same mechanics to Andromeda.
They made DA:I too big. The story was lost amongst a bunch of mmo-styled quests. There is no scaling of difficulty. The hardest option, Nightmare is simple once you hit about level 12. And it's only difficult when faced with multiple enemies prior to that.
The War Table, whilst novel, wasn't really effective as your choices on how to complete missions had no effect on the story.
And none, except one and then only barely, of your choices matter. Even on a small scale there is almost no change at all and never to the story, just a random npc's dialogue changes or a new mission appears on the war table.
And they took away tactics and replaced it with That bloody tactical view. If I wanted to play an isometric game I would have played Baldur's Gate! Gah!

Having to continously press the attack button was the stupidest design choice I've come across in some time.
