It's, it's ... it's a love that reaches across the expanse of time.
Man, she totally looked like Claire, but with raven hair.
Awww. that was touching too. Dammit, I think i got some dust in my eyes.
I would say that epi had something for everyone. But it's hard to say, cause it's the only epi I've ever watched.

Aw. That really warmed the cockles of my heart. When her doctor/colleague/friend boosted her confidence about making her decision. And her daughter's blessing. Goodbye late 60s Boston!
I got really pissed though when they didn't show how it works. I would like to have seen that and I'm sure viewers want to know too. Dammit! I guess maybe it was disclosed when it happened in an earlier episode? I mean, it's not like it's the DeLorean from Back to the Future or something, right?
I lol'd at Jamie's reaction.
I don't know if the reunion is going to be what everybody wants though. I've a feeling there's going to be some road bumps to get back to the way things were. But then again: It's, it's ... it's a love that reaches across the expanse of time.

They have to be somehow "in tune" with Claire and Jamie though right? Because twenty years have past and now she is able to go right back to the time when it's discovered he is a printer. Also, even though she did the Clairol gray away thing before going back, when she did arrive in Jaime's time she looked younger anyway.
About that episode, I really enjoyed how Roger located Jamie. That was really brilliant and fun.

Not Jaime, but Claire can, as can her bloodline, The time jump is always around 200 years.

Watched the A. Malcolm episode.'
I lol'd when his printer helper quit.
Man that last 1/3rd or so of the episode though, amirite? They sure did rock each other's worlds.
I can see why this show is so popular with the ladies.
It's a good thing she brought back some modern medicines (antibiotics) with her, because him living in a room at a brothel, I think she may find a need for it.

Also, I'm thinking his illegal activities involve more then seditious printing and smuggling liquor.

Some more about the A. Malcolm episode.
Wouldn't Jaime's reaction to seeing photographs of his daughter cause a reaction more akin to thinking it was devilry or witchcraft? Instead he just accepts Claire's explanation of what a photograph is? I mean I guess he trusts her so maybe wouldn't react like that, but she better make sure no one else sees the photos.
Same is true for experiencing a zipper for the first time.
Lol at Jaime seeing his daughter in a bikini.
Lol at Jaime asking Claire what a bicycle is.

Creme De Menthe episode:
Ahhhh. They had their first fight since Claire's return. Did any one else lol when Jaime brought up the "wretched bikini" that Claire lets their daughter wear during their fighting?
I really enjoy how the show handles Claire's struggles with reconciling 1960s American sensibilities with 1760s Scotland. It must be hard, Claire being a medical doctor, for her to deal with a society that hasn't advanced to what she is used to.
Dammit. Jaime's print shop burned down. All because young Ian had to get his carrot wet. The one eye blind man would not have found the panel with the seditious printings if it were not for young Ian's struggles with him.
Uh, Jaime has a wife that Claire does not know about? wut? Oh boy, I can only guess what this will lead to.

Aw man. I just saw previews for the next episode (titled:First Wife) and looks like Claire questions whether her and Jaime should be together. I'm guessing Jaime tells her about his wife? That's kind of unrealistic of Claire if so. She left and was gone for what? 20 years? She certainly can't expect Jaime not to fall in love again and remarry, right? Oh wait! What if Jaime was married before they ever even met?! Oh snap! Claire gonna get the claws out..... meowrrrrrr...pppth pppth.
Booooo! My feeling about their relationship: It's, it's ... it's a love that reaches across the expanse of time.
Anyway guys, do you think Jaime will ever go with Claire back to the future? Oh wait, is it true only Claire and her ilk can use the magic of the stones?
I wish I knew everything there was to know about this universe. I just don't have the time in my busy schedule to read the books or go back and watch previous seasons. *sigh. Oh well, enjoying the ride enough to keep watching, I guess. It does plod on agonizingly slow at times though.

You should be aware that both BK and I read these books, so we already know what is going to happen all season, and in my case for the next two seasons after that.
-Jaime didn't fall in love again, his 2nd marriage is...something else. Claire is still pissed though. You'll see why.
-Only Claire's bloodline can use the stones. Jaime cannot.

It will only deviate in minor ways for now (down the road in future seasons there is a LOT of filler they'll likely skip). I know it won't hugely deviate story-wise though as Ron Moore's wife would castrate him if he deviates too much, it's her fave book series.
Any changes they make will be minor...like Claire leaning about Jaime's second marriage now...instead of a few episodes later.

What did you think of John Grey? I think he's cast PERFECTLY.
It's been almost spot on for the book so far even in the latest episodes.
The only difference so far is (not a huge spoiler):
Spoiler
Adult Fergus is awesome, and the casting for the Dunsany's is perfect too.

Ep 5 was good. For a bit I had forgotten that they went back to Boston but I was like wait Clare has to ask Joe if she is attractive before she goes back in time.
This was the 1st time I think in the show that they mention jewels with the stones. This is later bk 3 info so it seemed strange placed randomly here. Was kinda miffed they just skipped the stones but oh well. Ed: I was rather hoping to get the ziplock bag and sandwich bit but that is totally skippable. I wonder if it was filmed at all though?
Onto 6. A Malcom!!! The soft opening was great and that’s as far as I have gotten as of this txt.

Ep. 8 First Wife
*Lol. Lil Ian's punishment is packing poo with straw to make fuel. I think I'd prefer the thashin.
* Boy Jamie's sister sure is nosy. She aint buying the "story" either. Uh oh
*Awww. The tale about the two birds. It's, it's ... it's a love that reaches across the expanse of time.
* Oh boy. The wifey barges in at the most inopportune time! "That sassenach witch is supposed to be dead!" LOL! "Puttin' your prick in that whore!" LOL. Uh what is a "sassenach"?
* Awww. His wife's daughter looked like a deer in the headlights trying to process it all. I feel bad for her.
* Did anyone else lol when Jaime says to Claire: "you're the one who told me to be kind to her". LOL!
* Ewwww Weeee! Claire is PISSED!
* Oh boy. They are airing things out now (fight!). Jaime had to go and took it there: "Even though you left me!"
* DAAAAAYUM! Angry sex is quite passionate. Rockin' each other's worlds yet again.

* LOL. The asshole sister "cooled" them off <<<<< see what I did there?
* Damn. The sister is a grade A asshole. She made sure Jaime's wife found out Claire was back. What an asshole.
* Did anyone else pick up on (and lol) when asshole sister says to Claire: "did you think we were all frozen in time waiting for you to return"
* Uh, what is a "baren" or "bairn"?
* Damn, even Claire's solid story didn't fully convince the asshole sister. What is her deal! She's like the most nosy and untrustworthy jerk ever. I don't like her.
* LOL to: "There's a pot o' shite on the boil. You stir like it's god's work"
* Oh boy, wifey went and grabbed one of those old timey flintlock pistols and went and put some shot in Jaime's arm. Man, you don't want to piss of a Scottish woman, for sure.
* LOL. Lil Ian noticed Claire's "fancy knives". She better be careful around asshole sister (and others) with her future tools and medicines. They might deem her an evil witch or something.
* LOL at: "whiskey is a liquid, no?"
* Awww. That story Jaime told Claire about meeting his wife's daughters (and through them, her). So sweet and reaffirming that Jaime was finally coming out of his sorrow after Claire left.
* LOL at: "Can you explain why jabbing needles in my arse is going to help my arm!"
* NOOOOOO. Lil Ian! Whelp, quest updated. Must rescue him!
Does anyone else think they should have subtitles for this show due to the heavy Scottish brogue accents? I often find myself not understanding what they are saying. *sadface
