Can't go wrong with Iskaral Pust for witty one liners:
No mule can match wits with me. Oh yes, many have tried, and almost all have failed!
Thinking furiously! Such is the vastness of his genius that he can outwit even himself!

We are history relived and this is all, without end that is all.
You want to live free, boy, live quietly.
The world doesn't need another wine merchant.
Beware of shadows bearing gifts.
Way too many left :-)

Here you go, have a pick:
Witness.
The heart of wisdom is tolerance.
The harder the world, the fiercer the honour.
Every gift is edged.
Of all the weapons we choose to turn upon ourselves, guilt is the sharpest.
Precision is a precise art. Poignancy is pre-eminent and precludes prevarication.
Hello, <insert location here>. The Bridgeburners have arrived.
The lesson of history is that no one learns.
Such is the vastness of his genius that he can outwit even himself.
What makes a Malazan soldier so dangerous? They're allowed to think.
Show me a mortal who is not pursued, and I'll show you a corpse.
Is the journey far, queried I.
'I cannot say,' he replied,
'For I shall drown long before
I am done.'
You can't walk to Hood's Gate, you find it before you when the fog clears.
Well, the world can go fuck itself.
Never mind the truth. The past is what I say it is. That is the freedom of teaching the ignorant.

Death? Since when is death failure?
Where flies Korabas, there shall be T'iam.
I travel seeking the best in us
And one day it shall rise before me
To bless this journey of mine, and this road
I began upon long ago shall now end
Where waits for all the best in us.
Don't worry. I am like most people. I can keep my eyes and still see nothing.
Abject misery lies not in what the blanket reveals, but in what it hides.
Aye.
Be ready to disarm with a smile, even as you cut deep with words.
When you've burned the bridges behind you, don't go starting a fire on the one in front of you.
Never, dear gods. Never mess with mortals.
Discipline is as much facing the enemy within as the enemy before you.
It' s easy to weep when staying far away, doing nothing.
Chaos needs no allies, for it dwells like a poison in every one of us.
We talk of progress, but what we really desire is the perpetuation of the present.
When one does not know what one seeks, caution is the surest armour.
Everything worth fighting for is gained without fighting.
Those who knew but one path would come to worship it, even as it led to a cliff's edge.
The frog atop the stack of coins dares not jump.
Innocence is only a virtue when it is temporary.
The man patrolling his prejudices never sleeps.

Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

For me this is the best quote in the entire series:
Kallor: 'I have walked this land when the T'lan Imass were but children. I have commanded armies a hundred thousand strong. I havwe spread the fire of of my wrath across entire continents, and sat alone upon tall thrones. Do you grasp the meaning of this?'
'Yes,' said Caladan Brood. 'You never learn.'

haha some amusing ones. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES. i chose a relatively unknown one from MoI
"the harder the world , the fiercer the honour "
a friend bought me a kick ass pocket watch and wanted to know what i wanted on it so the engraving space was not plentiful hence a quite short quote was needed

That might still be too long. In case you want to go even shorter:

If you've read the book then surely it brings a tear to the eye.

If it was a mate giving you the watch, the wicked sprite in me would have gone for 'every gift is edged'
And then just judge his response
