This game. I love the atmosphere and the gameplay. This provides for the joy of DS 1, something I didn't get in DS2.

Agreed. Although so far, despite cautiously thwacking every chest I find just in case, I have yet to find a mimic.

I had a trawl through some chalice dungeons last night. I still have no idea how they work - different items at different headstones, a variety of chalices to choose from.. I found some bosses that haven't appeared in the rest of the game, but apart from treasure hunting I'm not sure I'll go through all of them, if that is even possible.

I'm quite enjoying being the biggest bad now, one-shotting everything I meet, and taking down the chalice bosses first time. Also found some attire that makes me look like a ringwraith with a pointy hat.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Beat the game. Couldn't resist finishing off the final bosses.

The chalice dungeons I've started are all the same in newgame+, so I can carry on exploring those when i feel like it.

Just had a quick pop at the Cleric beast - I hardly made a dent in his health with a +10 weapon so heaven knows what the rest of it will be like.

Totally enjoyed the game though, the level design is on a par with Dark Souls, although DS had a LOT of replay value.. I'm not sure there's enough in BB to make you want to go back through it all again. Great atmosphere, loved the setting and the weird Lovecraftian story, even though I'm not entirely sure what just happened at the end..but it did involve tentacles).

Just waitin for the Witcher now.
