For the curious, custard creams, bourbons and best of all ginger nuts. Who needs regular healthy meals? A Pope can sin a little, right?

Cardiologists within a 50 mile radius should sense a great disturbance in the force, as if a million plaque cells shouted in joy.

Hey guys,
I am off to bed. In the morning, I will be able to answer questions again. Please ask to your heart's content, the more the merrier.
Faction Leaders: I have allowed the sending of Messengers to your faction members to get conversations going. You're free to start with doing that, too.
You are also free to start the chat, under the proviso that it is one-way until your faction member actally PMs me to tell that they want to send a Messenger to you, too.

A read up nets nothing but some factions trying to form alliances, then a post from Jalan telling them to stop. That post stands out to me for some reason, because they only made a few posts. It definitely didn't warrant Jalan's admonishing post. Then there is some weird back and forth between Jalan and Gait.
Not much to talk about.

12 of the last 16 posts before mine were from leaders

I didn't say anything about building a case on you. I don't know who is or isn't in my faction. I pointed out the only insight I had into the day so far. I'd be far less inclined to lynch anyone at all who participates today. As for myself, I'll be looking towards alts trying to lie low after another 6 to 8 more hours have passed.

I do not see anyone wanting to lynch today not knowing anyone in their faction. The leaders do but they would not want to highlight themselves early on either.

Posting my check in post, and now straight off to bed. I'll use the OP as reading material to send me off to sleep quickly

If pictures were allowed in this game you would see a golden retriever dressed in a lab coat here.
I read the OP and i get the gist of the game. There is way to much to remember though.

And the OP is sprinkled with those ominous little notes like "If you set up your estate wrong you're DOOOOOOMED! because you CANT CHANGE IT! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMED."

Figured out about 30% of the OP after 3 reads. This is exhausting.

Hey guys and girls,
We're in SNAFU-land right now.
Basically, one faction leader started a conversation with someone who wasn't their underling but a rival faction leader, and that would lead to on the one hand, a very amusing game, but on the other hand, a very unfair game.
That means that I will have to reshuffle all the alts. That will take me about a day, since I need to copy conversations to the alts, change my documents to reflect the changes and keep track of where everyone was. It also opens up the opportunity to start with the original night 1 phase.
Since I also see a lot of people ...mentioning that the OP is a really tough thing to go through and that a lot is unclear, here's a question I have to ask.
Would it overall not be better if I spend more time cleaning up the OP, based on the questions I received here, and we restart the game somewhere in the future?
Somewhere in the future meaning: running a different game now, and then Noblesse.

I think we're all set to play this game. I'm looking forward to see how it develops. Bit of a bitch (for you) changing alts. Anyone able to help you out?

Are we only supposed to talk to our own underlings? Enforcing that as a rule might be a suitable idea.

Seems to me like your mistake was giving us any power at all
I am happy enough to continue as long as you aren't getting overwhelmed with PMs and having to change everything over, that must be a pain in the ass. If you want we can spend the rest of this week (basically going to be Thursday and Friday now after that swap over you are doing) getting everything in ship shape and making sure we all understand what is going on then start Day 1 on Monday.

Yep, I'd like to carry on with this game if possible. I've been finding that as I keep reading my questions are usually answered along the way.

Faction Leader "second" alts can freely talk to other faction leader's second alts off-thread.
Messengers only work with underlings and them with you and each other.
Royal Marriages open up permanent comms between the two players involved in it, and are the only way to have off-thread talks with a player not in your faction.
Of course, they can substitute for sending Messengers back and forth between faction members.

This might be the smartest solution, indeed.
I had the office to myself on Monday and yesterday off, so could work fully on all the PMs. Switching alts is not so hard - can be done in an hour or two, but if we re-start Monday we can play the game as it was originally planned: starting with a first Night Phase, with income, moves and so on, and everything fully functional. I can then also spend today, tomorrow and friday on helping you guys with the start-up and by answering questions, which will help when the game does kick off.
