Hex # 301 - Zeta Draconis

Was hoping for something OTHER than a double ancient hex, but hey, par for the course. At least Drek can't frikkin Influence this one! :p

I'll leave the hex as is (WHs pointing N, S, and SE).

Ugh, I think I might have mathed wrong... Is it possible to influence the pulsar, use the ability, then bankrupt it?

With my diplo cube to Drek, I'll have 2+6 money.

Not counting my most recent explore, I explored 4 times, influenced twice - that's 6 actions which would put me at -7. If I explore North, I would need to bankrupt the Pulsar in order to be able to pay for everything, right? Can I use the pulsar ability then bankrupt, or do I need to have the hex influenced at end of turn to use it?

Wait on my pass orders I need to update my cheat sheet to see if my odds have gotten better for a good explore.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

@blend

I think you're good to go with that pulsar. You own it and use it now, bankruptcy at end of round should not matter.

unless there is a specific rule against it, but I don't remember seeing that anywhere.

Okay good. I DID math wrong, but it doesn't affect my ability to draw that last tile, so I'm good to go.

When it comes back around to me I will

Use PULSAR ability to add a Hull over the empty space on my Dread blueprint.

Question - if I kill the Ancient in the Nebula hex, do I get a discovery, or do I only get a discovery if I manage to get a ship to one of the discovery sections of the nebula?

Nope. There is no discovery under the Ancient Ship in a Nebula.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Why do you think I stuck the ancient next to you instead of me? Make it more difficult for you to access it.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
