Blend, the tier II file should only have 209 and 212 in it.

We take the first 12 tiles, whether they're placed or discarded. The discards become the new draw pile.

And the Draco cannot place the hive. So you're in the position of being able to cost D'rek a tier II hex. :D

Or, by not exploring that hex, you can force D'rek into letting you have the hive.

My sig comes from a game in which I didn't heed Blend's advice. So maybe this time I should. ~ Khellendros
I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

Ugh, the Hive...

That's terrifying. Lemme review the hive rules and see if I want to try keeping this.

I don't follow your logic. I get to draw another hex to replace the hive if drawn.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

There should be a cube on the Money Planet in my second hex (I can colonize right after influencing, right?)

I didn't do that yet because it's not a good idea to colonize a single planet hex while you're still exploring. You can colonize on any turn even after you've passed. And it's usually best to wait until after combat to do so.

Nope. The first 12 hexes drawn. Once 212 and 209 were discarded they stay in the game.

The same damn thing happened to me in game IV. remember, twelve wouldn't explore it to keep me from influencing it.

If I had gotten 209, that would have been a problem for Drek, but I ended up getting the Hive, so no issue.

Edit: damn, I'm glad you caught that Twelve. Posted Image

I think we messed this up in Game 5 when I was the Draco. I don't think the double ancient hex should have been available for me to draw. I only caught it because I was wanting to see how many hexes were available in Tier III. I think all Tier I hexes are available no matter what though.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

But if all that is left is the hive then you are SOL

Okay, well, I guess I'll keep the Hive and cross my fingers!

I'm going to rotate it so that the 6 is pointing at my Homeworld.
