At around 1:51 is that Emma Watson? Playing the Jokers girl friend/ next victim/is she the one going into that pool of bad stuff?

Also: Weird cranial facial tatoo guy has seriously done a great job of milking his fame. From some nut job who ruined any chance of ever becoming a bank manager, to one role after another as a bad guy in big budget productions.

Good for him.

Assuming this is who you're talking about:

Definitely not Emma Watson

Emma Watson has had some rough years since Harry Potter ended.

Making out with a ginger will do that to you.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Isn't that Cara Delevinge? A former training partner of mine is her cardio boxing trainer.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Yeah, that's Cara Delevinge. Nothing to do with the Joker, she's Enchantress. Presumably, we get her origin story here; there were shots of her in the previous trailer pre-Enchantifying too.

I think the implication is that Enchantress either purposely or accidentally summons something...and that something is the true villain of the piece in the third act.

I was scanning the trailer and if you stop it 1.51-1.52 there is a crazy-monster-alien-thingy with an extendable arm... looks nasty!!

This trailer just got me excited for this film!

Something is telling me that this "Suicide Squad" might actually be more inclined to do murders.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

One thing i will say about this trailer, and it ties into that discussion Apt started about trailers on the discussion forum:

This is excellent in that:

- it hypes me up for the movie (before this trailer was fairly meh about it)
- it gives minimal plot away (they're bad guys working for the govt - that's basically it)

So, no big plot reveals, no huge spoilers, just a well made trailer that makes me want to see the film - whoever edited this is a genius compared to most trailer makers these days.
meh. Link was dead :(

Suicide Squad reshoots? Oh dear.

http://www.news.com....b023eaf07fff2cf

I think they're just trying to make it "More like Deadpool" because imitation is the only thing Hollywood studio execs understand.

People are getting panicked for no reason. Reshoots happen reasonably often, and we only usually hear about them when the film was already on track to be terrible, where reshoots were always a long shot to help. In this case we're only hearing about them because another film was considered terrible and everyone's looking around for reasons to knock WB further.

Even the stories reporting it say that this isn't in response to either Deadpool or the BvS trashing, but to the response to the trailer - and that it's not just stuffing funny lines in willy-nilly but sharpening up a few moments. It could work out badly, but it could work out badly without reshoots too. And no-one's claimed that this film is troubled or anything. No reason to get flustered yet.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

From what I hear, it's because of the repsonse to the comedy in the trailer. DC was worried, because the trailer comedy was apparently ALL the comedy that is in the film. The rest plays it much more straight. So in reposnse to BvS audiences wanting DC to lighten up with more comedy and that positive reaction to the comedy bits in the SS trailer...they are doing some reshoots to beef that stuff up.

I don't think it's anything to worry about, and I certainly don't think they are aping anything to do with Deadpool.

Reshoots like this happen all the time, and hopefully Ayer can insert it all so no one notices.

But yeah, not at all worried.

Hmmm ... yes, that's what they're saying, but I don't think it's necessarily all of the truth.

I think the massive $$$ for Deadpool, followed by the early critical mauling for BvS - before the box office receipts started easing some pressure - caused more than a few Hollywood executive sphincters to turn coal into diamond. And this was the reaction. Especially after they realised people reacted well to the first trailer, with its humour, and then remembered that the trailer had all the jokes.

I would like the DVD for Suicide Squad to have a "Before the reshoots" cut as an extra. It would be interesting to see what sort of movie they intended us to see before they decided to revise - whatever their reasons were.

Actually, wouldn't it be cool if most DVDs had this option?

Meh, I'm cool if the add comedy to it. And no, I don't think they are telling us lies about why. The news of why doesn't come from an official source, it leaked out. Why would a leaker associated with production lie? Seems like a lot of effort for no reward.

I heard it was actually an April Fools joke, and in a lighthearted twist, this whole movie was never actually made.

The aforementioned re-shoots are occurring today. One of the locations in the film is my subway station, and they were set up this morning. Only saw extras, no big stars.

2nd update, David Ayer has taken to twitter to dispel the rumour that the re shoots are to "add humor", but that WB loves his movie and asked if he wanted to add some action to it, which is what the re-shoots are about (this jives with me seeing them in the subway this morning as that's an action sequence), and Jai Courtney confirmed that the reshoots are to add some action not humour.

So that's good. Sounds like the report that the movie wasn't funny enough were ill reported. As evidenced by that new trailer that came out last night with all the funny banter.

Something tells me it'd be a whole lot better as a silent film.
