There's dark and there's dark. The inevitable 'Ezra tempted by the dark side' storyline is no darker than most of what Disney did in FROZEN.
Show me 'Ezra is tempted by the Dark Side, trains with the Inquisitor, cripples his buddy from the Academy, makes the Wookie kid from the premiere into a rug, gets a tattoo of a Twilek dancing girl on his butt and then goes on a three day bender at Jabba2's palace where he meets Asoka who puts him thru rehab that involves serious beatings' and THEN we'll talk.

...or see REBOOT season three where the showrunners effectively killed the lead hero, had the badguys win, promoted the comic relief kid to lead, beat him senseless and THEN things got SERIOUS for the next three seasons.

Ss 1 and 2 haven't aged that well, but 3 and after remain pretty damn awesome to my eyes.

I made plenty of fun of the design when it was first shown, but they did some clever stuff by making the hilt have different modes... He only used the complete circle when he wanted to intimidate the Rebels or throw it. The rest of he time it was a half-bell hilt type thing that made sense the way he held it.

No, the last one (which was in Nov) was the last til Jan 5th (I think?). They've taken a mid-season break with all the other TV for some reason.

The scene from Path of the Jedi where Kanan and Ezra open the Jedi outpost was pretty frickin' cool. As was Ezra's lightsaber!

Almost certainly a rights/exclusivity deal with The CRTC here in Canada. It only sucks to be one ep behind everyone else.

They don't do it to me with Downton, which I also bought a pass for on iTunes, it's avail the same night it airs.

Finally got to watch PATH OF THE JEDI and really, really enjoyed it. Possibly the best ep yet. The Lothal Temple was clever and intuitive. It was cool to see both Kanan and Ezra speak with Yoda for totally different reasons and Yoda dropping the wisdom. The fake Kana VS Inquisitor lightsaber fight was well choreographed.

Did anyone else notice that Ezra reaching up in the darkness of stars to grasp the lightsaber crystal was aping Luke on the poster for A New Hope? They keep doing little things like that, which is awesome.

And yeah, Ezra basically has a Gun Blade Lightsaber. Which is hella cool.

EDIT: Tonight episode has Lando in it. Voiced by Billy Dee and all!

But I think it's just following the idea that Illum, the planet where most of the Kaibur crystals came from during the Clone Wars era (the era during which the Temple on Lothal would have been built presumably), only had blue and green crystals...so there was a 50/50 chance that it would be blue.

I'm cool with it. I liked how Ahsoka eventually had her second shota blade and it differed in colour from her original saber.

I still remember the behind the scene clip of Lucas saying there was only green and blue for Jedi red Sith to which Jackson slipped in "no purple?" And Lucas said "you might get purple ". That was done to cater to Jacksons big name at the time I think.
