Rumours are the covered up/helmeted one... it's Jedi turncoat, and old padawan of Luminara Unduli, Bariss Offee...who was repsonsible for the bombing of the Jedi Temple in S5 THE CLONE WARS, a crime that Ahsoka was accused of. Basically the rumour is that Offee (who was missing last we heard during the late Clone Wars) survived Order 66 and eventually ends up in the employ of the Empire as a new Inquisitor. The other seems to be a completely new character.
Anyways....that trailer was AMAZEBALLS! REX!!! Can I just say that Clone Troopers (ones loyal to Ahsoka), especially Rex, showing up here (in canon) just ha dme joyful. I love the old bearded man clone look too.
In that trailer I loved Ahsoka's line to Kanan.
Kanan: The fear, that anger and hate. I've not felt something like that since...
Ahsoka: Since the Clone Wars.
Fucking *shivers*!
Also, they must have been woring on the animatiion and voicework even while S1 was airing to have a trailer of that length cut for S2 already. Not that I'm complaining...this is going to be epic!
Fuck, I love this show.

EDIT: Freddie Prinze Jr. has stated that they recorded nearly twice as many eps for S2.

It seems to be the default blade that the inquisitors are supplied...which is interesting cause Kanan executed its flaw in the s1 finale.

I've only watched a few of the episodes so far, including the first and last of season 1, but this show is impressive. I LOVE the actual Star Wars action style shots. It is presented very, very well.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Yes, A-wings were not created at this point, though it'd have been worse if they also had B-wings. Though I think we should remember that this is by old EU reckoning. With the new canon, do we really know when A-wings were first designed?

Yep, even old books for the main OT trilogy are out...and are actually getting NEW versions.
New Canon going forward from the old EU being ditched was ONLY: the 6 main series movies, the clone wars, rebels....and only material that has come out SINCE that date (in 2013 I think) is canon. So those old books don't count.

So I finally got to watch SIEGE OF LOTHAL. What an amazing hour of TV! Loved every second.
I loved how the fight between Kanan (and Ezra) and Vader showcased that Vader doesn't even have to break a sweat going up against a moderately untrained Jedi who never even made Knight before Order 66. The fight is slower because Kanan literally can't get past Vader's guard. And Vader's command of the force is about twenty times stronger as he throws both Kanan and Ezra around like ragdolls. You can tell that Kanan has to concentrate to fight him and can't do anything truly fancy.
I loved the space battles, which were very reminiscent of the OT.
The fact that Vader knows about Ahsoka and now she SEEMS to imply (with her look at the camera) that she now knows what happened to her old Master, and it's a powerful enough memory to knock her out. I'm very glad it went down this way as I didn't want them to have Ahsoka surprised by Vader in a fight, or have the reveal be like the EMPIRE reveal (No, Ahsoka, I am your Master)...this works better as each gets to now think about the ramifications of the fact that both are alive and are now on polar opposite sides of the force. I fear that this means Ahsoka is now bound to die...but I live in hope that Vader either secretly (or accidentally) allows Ahsoka to live. I REALLY want her as an old Togruta in THE FORCE AWAKENS helping Luke...but I realize that's likely a pipe dream.
Oh and I saw this over at io9 as a theory and it lines up well actually. That Ahsoka will eventually be brought by Vader before the Emperor and will die at the Emperor's hands, and Vader won't do anything to stop him. Killing his old friend and apprentice will have a subconscious effect years later as the same fated scene plays out in ROTJ, only it's his son in the place of Ashoka...this adds extra resonance to the original ROTJ scene for Vader's turn back to the good side. It's not just his family, but his failure of his old apprentice that sees him to kill the Emperor. I don't LOVE it as a way for Ahsoka to go out...but I could see them doing it.
And can we talk about the disassociation of Vader to Anakin? He referred to Ahsoka as "Skywalker's apprentice" to the Emperor. To Vader, it's a completely different person from who he is. This is how far gone Vader is as of this period time. This is the level at which Luke (and eventually Leia) being alive will have to fight to bring him back from. A place where he mentally ISN'T Skywalker.
