WoT is 10x as good the second time around. No other series has anywhere near as much foreshadowing.

I agree I did really enjoy my 2nd time. There will be 3rd at some point but I really would like to read Malazan for the 2nd time before I do that. Also loved my 2nd trip of ASoIaF a lot.

You haven't re-read Malazan yet? Do it now! My second read was like reading new books. I plan to have my my 3rd reread next year, preferably when Fall of Light comes out

Lan would have Anomander Rake.

Discuss.

If he had that little trick he pulled off in the Last Battle, I think he's in with a shout.

Difficult to say. Rake with Dragnipur would have a huge advantage. Without, ...Lan would win. Frankly I would be more interested in seeing Dassem Ultor vs Lan.

Lan is a cool dude but Rake is a superhuman dragon man who, let's remember here, can move faster than even inhuman eyes can see. He's got this.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

The only reason Lan even does the suicide move is to escape Nynaeve's worst moments.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Oh please, Perrin would take 3 months just to motivate himself enough to swing a weapon

It helps to indicate what exactly you are spoiling. :D

Y'all have forced me to unsubscribe from this thread (Posted Image); there is nothing I hate more than who-would-beat-who-in-a-fight threads.

Bella would probably beat Pust's donkey in an armwrestle.

I literally threw the book across the room when that happened. My fiancee's raised eyebrow of 'I say, peasant?' was something to behold but I genuinely lobbed it and then took to Twitter to send Sanderson some choice words over it.
