The Di Faedo family was known for two things: a lineage dating back to the heroic Graecs who fought a thousand years ago beneath the walls of Ilion, and one of the best wine estates in Noblesse. What they weren't known for, was martial prowess. So when the mercenary band with the very best reputation in the peninsula fell upon the estate, the family's retinue stood no chance. The cavalry was countered by mounted pikemen, the infantry blasted with leather bound field cannon, and the command position overran by an elite group of ambush specialists. Within a day, the estate belonged to the Bande Nera.

Anthras is dead. He was Margravio Giovanni di Faedo, a proud Noblesse noble.

I will use this opportunity to start the weekend break.

@Emurlahn. It just clicked with me what your difficulty is.

That would be where I got the name.

Thanks for pointing it out, as someone who cannot read that is very helpful /s

My point is, you posted the probable name for the faction fully formed without hesitation or uncertaintly. I think someone who didn't already know the name to be true would hedge their bets in what they called them, if they didn't google the name they might have said "the mercenaries" or "mercenary leaders" and if they had googled it like you say you did, they would have said something CLOSER to this "Apparently this guys was a condottieri according to google, which means mercenary captain. This is the 5th faction guys?" instead of just this;

without even explaining what the word was as you were the first to introduce it to the game.

The scenario you propose is too convenient for me to accept as true basically.

Well, you're certainly not Khell.

The condottieri are famous mercenaries. They were kingmakers and popebreakers. They were one of the principle reasons for the flourishing of the Renassaince.

If you'll look at the bio of the one Tapper mentions, he was a son of the Medici. You may have heard of them.

As for how I knew there was a 5th faction, after numerous stupid questions Tapper let slip that there were two factions that I cannot win with. So whoever the Banda Nera are working for, they're not considered "Noblesse".

Or I'm wrong in thinking that the Rosetta people are Noblesse. But that seems doubtful given the CF of Lock.

No BP. Just your srandard low poster without investment who also doesn't want to disadvantage his team (what is left of it) with a modkill.

y'all were happy to ignore me and i was happy being ignored. and don't get all self-righteous. It's not like y'all haven't been guilty of the same at one time or another.

Sure, but with no information about your motives, the likelihood of multiple factions increasing the odds of you being outside of mine, I'm tempted to vote you.

You admit to trying to avoid attention and then you join the dn vote train, without giving us any information about why, again trying to fade back into obscurity.

I believe we should kill Dejim Nebrahal all the same. Even if he was what he claimed he is, it is possible that he was recruited.

Also, with the sole VC of last faction standing I find the existence of a survivor unlikely, it doesn't make sense.

Another thing that is in favor of lynching him is how he tried to stop his lynch the first time, he acted like his kill ability was an on-thread thing, which doesn't comply with what he has claimed now.

Vote DN

If nothing better comes up, tomorrow would be a good day for lynching Karosis.

But then again, my second best guess is that they're all gone otherwise they'd have won by now.

Oh. Since I have no idea whether that ability is still useful or not there's no sense wasting Tapper's time

That's a lynch.

Zimella's occupants didn't have very long to enjoy their new acquisition. The Pape of the Church of Holy Prosperity seized the opportunity to throw his weight around, and forged a coalition of the willing. The Papal Guard marched north, the Mercatore sent a thousand of their heavy infantry, The Doge of D'Arsenale sent a hundred galleys and three gealleases, and many minor nobles committed troops.

When they arrived at Zimella, they were greeted not by grey clad troops, but by rank upon rank of Des Fleurs pikemen in their characteristic red-rose-white liveries, with troops of armoured knights on the flank.

A parley was called, and the Dux d'Assonnce met with the representatives of the loose alliance. Five hours were spent in conversation, while the armies waited. Then, the Doge's galleys arrived and smashed into the harbor, unloading marines. The Dux tried to reach his army, but was pulled of his horse and murdered in full sight of his troops.

Whoever was the second in command was worth the rank. The army rallied, the cavalry formed a spear point, the pike knit together into a massive square around the command staff, and the cannon were spiked or overloaded. They then fought their way back north. The combined armies didn't pursue, but happily claimed their victory, fully aware that the death of the Dux under a white flag meant the Roi des Fleurs would have to return in vengeance.

Dejim Nebrahl is dead. He was Francis, Maréchal du Pays des Fleurs, Dux d'Assonce, a proud Seigneur of Le Pays Des Fleurs.

Let's see if Karosis can come up with something better, seems like he did not put much on the table so far.

Dejim lied about his CF. Wonder what else he lied about.
