Yeah Brady made a couple of bad mistakes. There was at least 2 occasions where running would have got them a first down but he didn't do it.

Butler basically saved everything for them.

Brady did. I mean it seems to mostly always go to QBs but that man WON them the most important game of the yr literally.

But some of the passing plays Wilson made, came against Butler, too - he should have had a pass interference called against him on the play where he fell and made his mark stumble, and if not for a drop by Kearse, he'd have given up another big play, too. Anyway, it was always going to be Brady - too central to the NE offense and too much of a press and public darling not to get it.

Personally, I think Edelman would have been a deserving recipient - TD, 100+ yards and (schemed) open on most plays, plus the tackle on Lane on Brady's first interception. Revis would've been a worthy recipient, if it wasn't for the three yard TD by Baldwin, he'd have had a shut down performance. As is, he gave up the same number of passes (1) and half the distance (3 vs 6) as Sherman did. And six points.

Wilson had 4 interception last game, so its not surprising to me that he throws another one when the game is on the line. The stress level of that moment got to him. Yes, it was a horrible play call, but a good QB should still be able to score on a pass play from a few yards from the goal line.

Wilson just isn't a good passer. He's exceptionally great at the part he plays in the Seahawks play scheme, but he has yet to show me that he can be a prolific passer, and I'm waiting to see how he'd perform on a team without possibly the best defense in league history and a run game lead by a beast like Lynch. Im beginning to think he'd fail on a team where he had to carry the team with just his arm.

Ugh is it August yet??? Damn that's gonna be a long wait........

My enjoyment of the game has become more complete since I embraced (in the past 2 years only) the entire off-season process. Following the conversations on draft prospects, salary cap issues, free agent signings etc.

The game has become a lot more rich since I've gone beyond just waiting for Sunday. I highly recommend it!

(That being said, I still can't stand watching college football itself, so I have to take the expert opinions without having watched the prospects myself.)

Yeah, it sucks waiting for Football Season to come back around . I can't wait to see what Odell Beckham Jr can do with a full year instead o 12 games.

Also, can't wait to play some more Fantasy Football where I plan on dominating once again. :(

As big a fan I am I've never paid attention to draft and preseason games. I may this yr. when does all that start exactly?

Draft is usually late april or start of May.

Training camps start late July. First preseason games are in the beginning of August usually.

I havent seen any excact schedules yet of this year.

If you really want to get into the football nerd groove, the NFL Scouting Combine is this month. http://www.nfl.com/combine. You can watch NFL draft prospects run the 40, vertical jump, bench press (amoung others). Important for prospective QBs is the Wonderlic score.

I don't follow the scouting combine too closely myself. I do however like to watch the episodes on ESPN with John Gruden where he interviews prospective NFL quarterbacks. The show is titled "Gruden's QB Camp" and there is a separate episode for each QB prospect. The year Andrew Luck was drafted there were some awesome episodes (Luck, Kapernick, RGIII, Newton). Last year had some entertainment value because of Johnny "Football - overhyped" Manziel. Not sure if this going to be a great year for the shows though. I suppose there is the trouble walking out of Florida State (Jameis Winston) and the dude from Oregon who won the Heisman this year (Marcus Mariota). Not sure if the shows tell you a lot about each QB prospect, but they are entertaining. At a minimum you get to hear each QB prospect answer Gruden's questions, which can help you gauge their intelligence .... which is a top priority for an NFL QB. "Gruden's QB Camp" airs around late April and May I believe.

And for the uber nerdy, there are those who follow the National Signing Day that happened last week, where you can know which colleges or universities high school athletes committed to. Snoop Dog's son committed to UCLA. Posted Image

Brees/Graham duo are the faces of our team since 2009. That sucks BALLZ

Yeah. But...

Unger is a great centre (though a bit injury prone), for the same cap hit over his entire contract that Jimmy had for next year. It will help the Saints' running game, which Brees will need because his arm isn't as big as it was, and as much as losing Jimmy hurts (the one really electrifying player in the team, although I have high hopes for Cooks), the jump ball to Graham was about all an opponent had to defend in the red zone, and other teams did find the recipe to shut him down last season.

That 31st pick will also help quite a bit in trading up or trading down, if that is the plan, or at the least in getting a cheap starter for the next 4/5 years.
But yeah, if I could go back in time and undo the Jairus Byrd contract so we could keep Jimmy, I would.

Seahawks fan since 1984 and that will never change !

Still the best team in the NFC and we just got better although I would have loved to have kept Unger.

Could be worse ..... I could be a whinners fan.

It hasn't been the best week for us... Hopefully we can get some good talent to replace those who have gone.
