Ok, here is my most damning piece of evidence (and if you want the 4th faction, maybe even the leader, listen up).

As I said, I suspect there was 1 faction role unconcerned about maintaining silence within the first 24 hours. Take a look who is on the above vote list just before 24 hours is up.

Now, the assassin is there too because I believe the 24 hour alt thing didn't apply to that singular role as well. So the question is, who is Fener. I actually, and sadly, will remove my vote from that filthy second (probably now a leader) Jalan and go for the primary leader.

Regardless, I think both Jalan and I are at high risk of not surviving at this point anyway, so might as well take down a leader and hope to weaken the hypothetically strongest faction (unless there are 3 teams and 4 roles).

I'm not really buying this argument. If you're correct, and there are four factions where is the other leader? In addition, a vote, particularly a joke vote (which is what most of these are) is not going to be particularly illuminating in terms of trying to alt people. If you're looking at the first 24hrs as an indication of who is a leader, you're be better served looking at posting activity.

Out of interest, I looked at post counts for the first 24 hours. Omtose had far and away the most activity. Next highest were Anthras and Kedeviss, with 5 posts each in that time. Galain and Fener had 3 posts, and everyone else had one or two. The post counts for everyone are so low in this time period that I don't think anything can be made of the activity within that 24 hour period.

I'll bet there are 4 factions (and those who are questioning the 4th's existence are probably part of it, and winning).

There are two teams down to one player (I am on one of those teams): Ashikaga and Hosokawa.

There is one team down a leader (but not really since the second was promoted): Rokkaku.

There is one team with all three roles intact: Unknown

And

There is one Independent of unknown role or origin. Possibly another assassin, but given the cut scenes, I am dubious.

Currently, I'd say Fener is the leader of the unknown faction, with Silchas Ruin being the second (given his cautious absence, hiding from the ladder climber I suppose), and Trake for his only interest being that I am not on his team (probably because he is the ladder climber, though he could be the independent...).

On the Rokkaku team, I'd say Tatts (Jalan) and Anthras, given their relative willingness to chum it up.

I think poor Liz (Ultama) is the other orphan, part of of either Ashkaga or Hosokawa.

Which leaves Tellan (or Trake) as the independent (given Tellan's amused aloofness during the game, I would not be entirely surprised).
