I think Tatts just needs to know a little more how the waiver wire works.
On Sunday at 1pm est, they lock all the players and you can't pick anybody up. They don't unlock them until sometime around 3am in the morning on Wednesday/late Tuesday nights.
You can attempt your waiver wire pickups during the 'locked' time each week. So everybody just watched how everybody played. It's Monday or Tuesday and you want a specific player, for example Eddie royal. If you try to pick him up before they are unlocked on Wednesday, its a waiver wire transaction. Because there might be 3 or 4 players who went Eddie royal. Id sure as hell take him. So if all 4 players pick him up for their team, only the person that's first in line on the waiver order gets him.
You're number 1 on the waiver order. You would have first shot at drafting anyone you wanted. If someone who was number 6 in line and someone number 10 in line both wanted someone, the number 6 guy would get him. Get it?
But early Wednesday morning, everyone becomes free agents again. This is when you can grab anyone you want. But usually all the 'most wanted' players for that week were taken during the waiver period. So no matter what anyone else has told you, if you want Eddie royal, then you can grab him with your waiver pick up, or hope NO ONE grabs him from waivers, and you can hope to grab him Wednesday . I say if you want someone bad enough , take them. But Eddie royal had a few good games early like this last year, then fell off. The difference this year is that Eddie royal looks like hes much much faster and running better routes. It's always a gamble with anyone, but I'm liking both him and Malcolm Floyd.
Oh, and you don't lose the points for dropping someone during the waiver period. For example, you could have went ahead and put on a waiver trade for Eddie royal, dropping Anthony fausano anytime Monday, and it wouldn't go through until the waiver period ends Wednesday. So you wouldn't lose any points anyone you play, ever.
