Honestly? I haven't even read the end of day. I got pissed of with the wall of quotes, I'm not remotely interested in this game at the minute because I don't have time to avidly read it all up. I've requested replacement and am keeping the ball sort of rolling until that happens. So there's a good 1 1/2 or 2 pages I haven't even read, and won't be reading. I Logged on jumped to the end, scrolled back to see how day ended. And then Kaschan popped up like a scummy wack a mole

Why did you even tell us this. :rolleyes:

You could only need a replacement for one reason...

I don't know why people have this stupid idea that if someone needs/wants to be replaced, then ZOMG they must be scum! Even as a townie, I'd want to be replaced otherwise you're basically giving scum a free kill.

I could be quite tempted to drop a vote on Amp for that. Scum don't need to care who gets lynched so long as it isn't them

I've seen no reason thus far to change my thinking from yesterday.

Regarding the HP vote... meh. It would be something different if we were at page 6 already, but this is post #53 and it's rather hypocritical to vote for no-shows when there's nothing happening anyway, even to call the guy out.

But maybe that's just tolerant ol' me.

:rolleyes:

I am extremely tolerant, I tell you. I even let old ladies jump the queue.

The other day, two old ladies just pushed into the snack bar queue ahead of me. I said what the hell, and they were like oh we're just getting these things we'll be really quick and I was like you can be really quick behind me in the queue too, or are you afraid you're going to drop dead in the next ten seconds?

Denul, the only 'catch' in all your fine work is the possible Barghast/Kaschan signal which is worth keeping an eye on. Pallid, you would have a great point if Denul hadn't ruined it by building his Kaschan 'case'. GL, I'm perfectly happy with a low poster hunt. I think we've been neglecting that particular hobby for far too long. I hope that you understand that I prefer the prey to be the low poster that isn't me.

Barghast and Kaschan scum together two games in a row? Seems on the borderlands of the realms of probability. Just sayin'.

Second post. Joke, followed by dismissing an opinion of who is scum based on previous games (wtf?), Followed by joke.

Either they, Galayn Lord, or Nimander Golit - or some combination thereof - are scum. I say this because they've all been middling, with GL and Will-Never-Be-Anomander only really spouting off when they've been called into question, before then subsiding again. I chose Ampelas though because he's been even less of a non-entity than that.

Ironic coming from the guy with 3 posts? Maybe. Doesn't make it less valid though.

Your third post. Targetting me because I have been "middling" and not contributing.

Fourth post. Trying to secure a lynch, no problem with this one.

Well I'm not going to be voting for myself :p. But then I'm already on Barghast so it's no help either way. Do you have particularly strong feelings about either of us?

I don't like either of the people on your train. But then I don't think I like you either.

Fifth post. States dislike for Pallid.

Sixth and FINAL post. Perhaps we should call you Never around, never substantial?

Christ this is embarrassing just putting together. If you want to vote someone for being a non-entity I have a great candidate lined up.

http://forum.malazan...ost__p__1130106

That's a link to my Day 1 case on Pallid, obviously incorrect now, but hardly someone trying to be insubstantial.

So while I still think a GL or Sukul lynch today is the best way to go I figured I would get out of my one track mind and give some thoughts to be pondered for the future. I had some time on my hands earlier and did a fairly thorough read through. Found a couple of little things that peaked my interest.

Denul notes Atrahal is a super low poster.

Atrahal comes on with a post whose content is mostly centered around old ladies about 20 min later. Not a super fast turn around. But fast enough to make me a little suspicious. Is this Denul saying "Hey maybe you should post something"?

Then here Atrahal says "Oh Ill be around to lynch if needed" But never substantiates anything. Should he and NG switched we would have had a lynch on Barghast.

Its small but its something to consider. NG has a small ding against him on not switching to help the lynch but overall seems fairly solid to me.

opinions;

Eloth: Playing very sensibly IMO, common sense about cutting out the symp/setup WIFOM, he seems happy enough to go along for whatever lynch seems likely today. He appears to be avoiding ruffling any feathers, on purpose or just hasn't got around to it yet?

Sukul: Going to be new player very soon, will make redundant what has come up to now, willing to vote for Kaschan, I can see why he would. Not much else to go on.

Nimander: Reasonable point early on about delaying the witch hunt for low posters. Gets suspicious of Pallids behavior, decides to drop setup WIFOM too, sees GL as likely town, doesn't understand the Day 1 case vs GL and snaps at me for being a fool. Not afraid to ask questions or get in someones face, seems a solid town player so far.

HP: Posted basic no envelope pushing stuff, quick to try and get the lynch going on GL again. Not sure about at all.

GL: Took part in that fucking ridiculous quote spam, automatically suspicious of shit like that, makes it SO much harder to do a normal re-read, buries information exchanges, doesn't contribute in a meaningful way. I don't see the day 1 case people made against him at all to be honest.

Liosan: Other party of that quote spam. Other than that seems fairly active in looking at people and participating.

Barghast: Early proponent of dropping the setup WIFOM, major plus points for that. Attempts to get me to respond to a question that has an obvious answer, is foiled by Eloth. The gifs and images are pissing me off, but hes being active and helpful. Suspicious of Kaschan. Solid play to date.

Denul: Jumps onto Kaschan for Scum very early on. Drops it in short order and votes other places. Initiates a vote based upon possible signalling, argues for town taking into consideration possible symps.

Kaschan: Standard play early on, sees value in GL vote based on the distancing case. Possible scum move trying to cast doubt on how we knew Pallid was town. Maybe just sleepy as he said.

@ Ampelas:

So because I have few posts that automatically makes you town? Saying that I have contributed little doesn't suddenly validate your contributions or invalidate my suspicion. The only time you don't sit on the fence is when someone (i.e. me) points a finger at you, and then the only reason you get off that comfy seat is to, of course, denigrate the suspicion against you.

It's been a long day, so this is just a survival post. If you care, the nephew bought a house and I've been helping clean it out. Steak and beer afterwards was nice. But it's downright scary how quickly old dusty clothes and linen from an attic will go up in flames.

Just to answer this point quickly whilst at a computer;

This is my phone: Nokia C3. It doesn't do tabs or multiquotes and when replying I need to delete character by character all text and formatting I want to delete. So I don't. However it does auto-align the browser window to text so following quotes is really quite easy. Does your no doubt newer and more fancy phone not do that? I can cope with it from my phone so quit bitching.

By the last update we have around 5/6 hours.

Current count by my reckoning is;
2 vote Kaschan: Sukul Ankhadu, Barghast
2 vote Galayn Lord: Liosan, Eloth

1 vote Sukul Ankhadu: Kaschan
1 vote Ampelas: Atrahal

Correct me if I am wrong.

I don't like Ampelas' "list". I can see the merit of a GL lynch. I am happy with my vote for now but could switch if needed for a lynch.

Well looks like we have about 4 hours or so left and once again nothing is happening. I think my Sukul vote has sat out there long enough that it will still hopefully have some attention on Day 3. But for now I would really like to see someone getting close to a lynch. So....

With the proviso that I'll switch to myself if needed for a lynch. I'll check in again maybe 1hr/45min before timeout.

So is this solely based on the Pallid thing Amp? Cause I can clear that up for you real quick. If you will look at my wording from that post I said "I figured that". Now Im from the South and that word used in that way simply means "thats what I thought". So, no I didnt know Pallid was town. I simply had him pegged as town which was stated in a previous post. As for everyone else on my train I wont even bother trying to sway you since the first three on the train are my top 3 picks for scum.

I am back for a bit. Sorry but I had a couple of things come up in RL that prevented me from posting. I strongly dislike it when people volunteer to vote for themselves. As if we haven't seen scum do that in recent games. I was kind of on the fence about who to vote for but attempting to clear yourself by stating that you will vote for yourself is not a townie play.

Yeah, that's not annoying at all. Glad I made it before timeout. I still don't really understand the 'case' against GL, so I'm going to go with the one of the two trains I feel is on a scummier player, thus:
