That is one good thing about holding off on upgrading to th 9. I maxed out my BK at 10 and don't have access to a AQ so all of my DE can go towards troop upgrades. Once I am at th 9 I am going to concentrate on getting the AQ up to 10 before upgrading anything else with DE.

I just put my pekka on to level 3. 6 million gold.

(Twelve I should have included wizards but on that occasion I didn't. The cc was impossible to draw out. Base spread out so far and defense buildings on the edge of circumference)
Until I unlock Witch (15 hours) the best I've managed again a good th9 is 2 stars. High percentages but never 3. Apparently Gowiwi is the only way to 3 star a th9 or balloonion. I have level 6 archers barbs balloons giants lvl 4 healer max rage pekkas 12 days from level 3.

I've seen people use a few hog riders to draw out highly protected Clan Castles. Would that have possibly worked?

If it would have I would've used 5. Mine are lvl 4 at the moment so have decent hp.

20 wallbreakers is too many. If they kept penetrating and blowing up interior walls that would be good, but a lot of them will get distracted by other walls. Basically you would blow the shit out of the first and maybe second wall. When I gowipe I use 2 golem, three pekka, 8 wb, and the rest wizards. Two witches if you have those unlocked. Easy two star on most bases, hard to three though.

I have been getting more into backend loons. Do your normal attack, either gowipe or gowiwi or whatever, but bring along about 5 loons to send in once the air defenses are gone. It can make a big difference in turning a two star into a three.

Just tried my first GoWiPe attack and it worked pretty well. I used rage and heal spells at the right time (imo) Glad I didn't give in to temptation & chuck in a couple of dragons too.

Max everything before you upgrade each th or if that is boring then upgrade until you get to th6 then max everything

When I went with my second account I concentrated on getting my collectors and mines up first. Once you have access to a lab then do troop upgrades and slash damage defenses. Then cheapest defenses through most expensive. Most important tip do not go to th7 til you are maxed out at th 6. There is a loot penalty that kicks in at 7. Also only use gems for builder huts until you have all 5 builders.

He meant 'splash' damage, so mortars then wizard towers when you unlock them. But yes, just work your way up to TH6, make sure you max everything, then hit TH7, max everything, and move on.

Shields are big. The absolutely best thing you should do is to take your TH out from behind your walls and put it in a a corner. Then leave it alone for ever. Now use everything else to protect your storages.

Let people attack your th and give them the trophies. When your th is attacked you get a free 12 hour shield. Trophies only matter if you are trying to get 1250 or crystal for the gems.

The single best advice when starting is never spend any gems on anything until you have all five builders. This is not an overnight process.

Is the 5th builder really worth it? I've got 4 and I've been using gems during wars to speed things up so I can actually get my 2 attacks in, and so far I haven't been short a builder, or at least, very rarely have I run into that problem.

Once all of your building start taking over a week to upgrade the 5th builder comes in very handy. Right now all of my builders are idle, but that is because I just have my lv8 wall push and DE troop upgrades left. Everyone that I know who is a TH 9 has all 5 builders going almost constantly.
