ManU is generally pretty popular abroad I'd say, one of the more popular PL teams.

One of? It's first by a distance.

Me too!

Who else do you think will make it out the group. My money's on Uruguay given how poor and uncreative Italy were today.

Dear me I hope not. Really hope Italy thrash them and Suarez breaks both his racist cheating legs.

Who's got Costa Rica in the sweepstake? This guy!

Alright, so they're not exactly going to win the thing, but man did I love the sight of snail-pace Pirlo getting robbed of the ball time and time again, and looking bewildered about it.

As for France - yeah. Scary. They didn't play this well even when they reached the final back in 2006. Still, there's always the suspicion that they'll self-destruct.

Shame about Benzema's 'sixth' being after the whistle.

Since France was the team that eliminated Ukraine in the playoffs, I can't cheer for them. That being said, Dechamps was a genius for keeping Nasri off the team, because his performance was piss-poor. Benzema carries the team, and French D is a brick wall (especially Sakho). I can see them going far.

Costa Rica will most likely be the dark horse of the tournament much I can very much see them beat whomever comes second after Colombia (I fully expect them to thrash England, no offence

moving on to today's matches --my god, I feel heartbroken for Iran. But Messi... christ, he's a league of his own, as long as he doesn't have 3 defenders on him constantly.

Interesting to see how Ghana will fare against Germany.

My thats quite the unchristian statement isn't it?

Suarez, unfit, coming back after a month from an op that other players have taken 3 to recover from, was better than any English player on the pitch. He's a phenom, and lets not get into the racist row, the FA basically admitted it was a nonsense case in their 120 odd page report that they conveniently released on boxing day when no-one could be arsed to read it, which showed evra changing his story no less than 3 times and a lip reader and translator confirming that what he had said was taken out of context and deliberately mis translated by the media. Oh english FA, how wonderful you are, John Terry had the brains to take it to a court of law, and walked all over them, despite actually BEING a racist scumbag. Captain and pride of England.

Costa Rica are playing out of their minds. They are a competitive side, but I don't know how much longer they can keep it up. If I was a team finishing 2nd in the group I'd LOVE for my knockout game to be against Costa Rica.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Definitely not HD, unknown quantity, probably little scouting or prep done of them, and when it comes to a knockout, they will be so up for it knowing they're over reaching.
also used to the conditions

Ghana. Gyan is a beast.

I guess I'm just used to playing them. Winning in CR is next to impossible during qualifiers.

All Klose does is score world cup goals. That's ridiculous.

There's another goal in this game for someone.
