It's difficult to make any decisions when over half the people who are still playing have very few posts over the last little while.

I'm willing to believe that both Tiamatha and Bek Okhan are town for now, but that doesn't leave me with much else to go on.

I am starting to lean toward voting for Kesso mainly because I refuse to lose to a seriously low posting scum.

Well we've got just under 2 hours left until timeout. Gonna have to make a decision soon if we have any hopes of actually getting a lynch today.

Whew, made it in time... Of the three up for lynch right now I really don't have a good feel. I haven't payed nearly enough attention to this game.

I wouldn't be opposed to voting Okral - he hasn't done anything that sets off any scum alarm bells, but he hasn't done anything that really convinces me that he's town. If he did turn up scum, it would give us a pretty good reason to look a little more into Alkend, as he was mildly defending him earlier in the game.

Ok, I'm back, I should be here till timeout. I forgot I had a SECOND WEDDING on Sunday so it was a really busy weekend. Also, as an amusing anecdote, while drunk off my ass the other night at the bar I slipped in a pool of water in the bathroom and knocked my head against the sink. I have a huge cut down my forehead that makes me look like Harry fucking Potter now. :p

I will do a quick read up first.

I'm not discounting your willingness to switch to get a lynch, but going from OMGUS voting Bek, who a lot of people are CI'ing, to saying you would rather vote Kesso for low-posting but keeping your vote, and then now with two hours left putting Okral at L-2.

I find this play odd. I have had you and MO pegged as buddies for awhile, but when you came back and started posting my suspicions waned. The only odd thing is that both Bek and Eloth are voting for you, pretty respectable players on thread, and you were a massive low-poster till recently.

I actually think the OL lynch is a good choice, I think his play and the arguments made for his lynch are compelling. The problem I have is that we have Alkend and Denul and you on the train - people we have been suspicious of all game. And all it took was Korbas to point out the time to you and you switched votes.

So I find this odd. I need to think more before voting because the trains don't look right to me at the moment.

In the interest of getting a lynch today, and, thus, giving us something to look into if he turns out to be scum:

vote Okral Lom

At least if he comes up scum, we'll have a little more to go on then Monok's 'posts'

Meh. I'd have preferred Tiam or Kesso over OL as OL just gives me the "bored and absent" vibe and I think my issues with Tiam are (still) valid.
But I guess a lynch is important.

Tayschrenn and Dujek were in the room together. Dujek was looking over an old map of Pale, he had seen many cities in his time and this was no different. Tayschrenn was sitting in the corner looking across at Dujek. He knew they would never be close but he needed to repair the damage. He did not know what to say. Dujek was using the map as a temporary distraction. He wanted the High Mage gone but it would be improper to say as much. There was a knock on the door.

"Come in" Dujek answered.

Ganoes and Toc the younger. The former looking surprising hale considering the amount of ale he had consumed. The latter looked quite forlorn. With a gesture Ganoes saluted both his superior officers before slumping into a chair opposite the High Fist.

"Any news from Quick Ben?" asked Ganoes

"None" replied Dujek as he scratched the stump of his shoulder.

The room fell silent. After the death of the Adjunct they had lost a little direction, they at least knew who was killing the marines. Now, now they are back to the beginning. It didn't bode well for the future, especially with Tattersail indisposed. The time moved on, and night grew near.

As they sat staring out at the room but seeing nothing there was a loud BANG. Tayschrenn had slammed his book down on the desk.

"No, we will not wait around!" He shouted. His eyebrows turned down, he looked furious.

"I have worked it out" he announced

"Earlier today Kalam approached me. He was concerned with the High Fist's lack of participation in this investigation" he mused.

"All day I have sat here and thought about this. I think the High Fist is to blame for Lorn's death. He wanted the power she had taken from him and he used the whole capture of Sorry business as a smoke screen for his own sinister plot!" he accused.

Dujek looked around the room. He seemed disinterested. His best friend dead. His Bridgeburners decimated. What was the point he thought. Why argue? Why live? He just shrugged.

Ganoes did not want to believe it. Toc the younger needed to do something, he did not want an innocent man to die but he could not be sure who was innocent and who was scummy. It had to be someone though did it not?

Tattersail was playing with her cards. No image would appear clearly. She was just as confused as everybody else. Who killed the Adjunct. It must have been someone who knew her, or someone who had the power to bypass her sword. She kept thinking that Tayschrenn was that powerful, maybe Quick Ben. In terms of those who knew her, well only Dujek may have got an audience to be alone. She shook her head. It couldn't be the High Fist. Could it?

Quick Ben was sitting alone, he had circled a group of pebbles together. Maybe he could trace the doll hair into Hood and ask Sorry what she knew. Maybe.

Kalam had been brooding all day. He had talked to Tayschrenn and mentioned his worries to Quick. No longer, he must act. He is convinced the killer is high in command. He had been listening at the door when Tayschrenn had made his accusation. The no reply from Dujek was all he needed. He raised his foot and kicked the door off its hinges. Before anyone could react he threw his dagger and it sank deep into the High Fists chest.

"Die you murderer" Kalam shouted

Dujek fell forward into his chair.

Here are the successful and failed trains on MO.

Bek is the most PI since he's consistent and seems legit. Korabas seems less suspicious, since it was really those two throwing down fast that made it seem inevitable. I know that doesn't make ME seem all that more innocent for joining the train, but that's how I saw it yesterday so I'm just being honest. The rest of the people on the actual lynch train are only marginally less suspicious.

On the failed lynch train, Okaros is on early and allegedly drunk... Ampelas added when it was unlikely a lynch was going to happen, so that doesn't lower my suspicion of them.

And of course, there are the people who didn't vote at all.

Of those, Kesso and Okral Lom are stinky stinky to me. Kesso's only real contribution is to defend himself against the case I made Day 3. Having two incredibly low non-commital posters as scum MO and Okral Lom, is not that much of a stretch. He said he'd be back, and hasn't come back, so let's do it this way. And of course, I'm still looking cross-eyed at Denul.

Vote Okral Lom

Then we get Denul:

In other words: nothing against Tiam (really?) case on Bek is rubbish, so vote Okral Lom.

Might be town.... oh the irony. Also, ties OL to Alkend where Alkend was the one making the case.

I think Denul might well be scum because that's a drive-by vote combined with Tiam has a town vibe! elements.
I don't like Tiam any more than I did before and Okaros worded perfectly why, and Korabas got the OL-Alkend thing wrong. Incidentally , Gusty's list was MO/Tiam/Korabas. I think he'll be 2/3 right, at the least.
Kesso.... Is it bad that I hope for a modkill?

My priority for tomorrow is Tiam, secondary target is Denul.
