This might just be the best "throw up on the 3rd monitor while you're working" movie ever.

I don't get the excitement. It's not a particularly exciting or atmospheric teaser. All it tells us is that the film's coming out, which we knew anyway.

Don't get me wrong, the film will probably be fine, but it was a pretty average trailer. They should have given a sneak peak at awesome mix Vol. 2 at least.

I agree!

I can only believe that this billion dollar industry (along with the billion dollar gaming industry) have done the research which shows that year long (or longer) hype campaigns (contrary to my own experiences) work. We have the leaked announcment, the official announcement, the teaser for an upcoming teaser, the real teaser, trailer 1, trailer 2, remixed trailer that is half 1 and 2 and finally we have trailer 3. Then we get the product. By the time these things come out I normally either know the entire plot or have become shocked that its actually releasing because at some point my excitement died and I just decided to wait and stop following the add campaign.

But you were only lukewarm on the first movie if I recall anyways...so I can understand that reaction.

Which is why 10 Cloverfield Lane was a breath of fresh air, marketing wise... No one even knew it was being made and then "oh hey, here's this..."

That was mostly because the decision to tie it in to Cloverfield was made very late in production though. As if JJ Abrams and friends would have missed the chance to make a giant, 'mysterious' song and dance about it if they could've.

It was a massively popular movie. All the trailer needs to do is let you know another is coming and when.

People complain on here all the time about trailers basically spoiling the movie. I am happy with a teaser that leaves the wow for the theatre.
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

I'm one of those people, I love a teaser that tells you nothing about the film. It still needs to have a bit of theatricality in its own right though, that's the art of a good teaser. This didn't have that, imo.

Watched this the other night, lots of fun. I could watch baby Groot raging on various things for at least an hour.
“The others followed, and found themselves in a small, stuffy basement, which would have been damp, smelly, close, and dark, were it not, in fact, well-lit, which prevented it from being dark.”
