Without warning the Hive turned their War Station and fired missile after missile towards Life Companion's ship. Life Companion and crew dodgy and weaved and ducked and dived and used every trick in the book. Missile after missile missing the ship. They were free, they turned about looking for the lone interceptor as they knew it would come for them and that is when they saw the final missile, it was too late and the ship was struck. They could not do a thing about it, the shields failed, the spacescreen cracked and opened up sucking Life Companion and his crew into empty space. They were no more.

For weeks a distress call had been sounding from Arcturus. The buzzing and crying of thousands of Reaver Ants in the Heart of Winter. Queen Mab sat in her War Station overseeing squish after squash. The Reavers did not die of course, no, not here in the Heart of Winter. They were turned into ectoplasm, and then recreated, feeling the pain of the old squishes and squashes on top of the new.

The machines did not know what to do with the blips and blops coming their way. It infuriated them that Queen Mab would do such a thing but what could they do? In the end they built their best machine and named him Harry Dresden and sent him on his way to investigate.

Harry flew silently towards Arcturus. His crew trepidatiously looked on. Looking out the spacescreen they saw the War Station Erlking come into view.

"This is the Erlking, go away or be destroyed" the transmission was sudden, harsh and discomforting.

"He-hello" Harry said,

"I warned you" came the reply and in an instant missiles were upon them.

The first one missed barely to the left, the second one came inches closer. Before they could cry out, two missiles smashed through the spacescreen and the ship exploded in great fire and no sound. These missiles were plasma and plasma was deadly.

Good job with the starbases Twelve...you might have a hard time consolidating the GC with only 1 starbase (if that's what you go for next round), but at this point holding onto tier 1 hexes is probably the priority anyway.

Yeah the GC is out of the question for this round. I think I may have to go on the offensive to neutralize a threat or three before I take a swing at it.

Upkeep

Income 18-25 Upkeep + 11 banked = 4 banked

science 3 banked+10 income = 13 banked

materials 9 banked + 8 income = 17 banked




Edit: Oh and the reputation draws totally blow!!!! For the amount of tiles I've drawn in all the games the only time I've ever got a 4 was when Tats and I had our head to head game and I was an attacking machine that game and it still took forever to get a 4. Mumble, mumble, mumble.

On the job hunting front I've made it to the final round of interviews with this one company. I'm fairly sure there are 4 of us after the job. I'm nervous but hopeful.
