It was blank CF.

That is why I placed orientation the way I did. That was my latest explore. However there is no access to your home world. No worm holes are touching.

EDIT.

You explore North West of your homeworld and we didn't want you exploring into that tier 2 hex on your next go and touching our home world. So we explored there instead and rotated in a way to shut you out. You can go be "friendly" with D'rek and leave Blend and I alone :p

Oh shit, I see now. I confused yours and IH's posts. I thought you explored SW on this turn (that's what IH's move was) and that your southerly explore action was from a previous turn.

I'm intrigued as to how twelve handles the shitstorm which is sure to come in a round or two when everyone attacks him.

I'm surprised he didn't try and take advantage of his double explores and build some solid tier 2/3 tiles. Whenever I've seen draco do well its by this route, as the expansion into tier 1 just makes them too tempting a target. We'll see what he has up his sleeve though.

  • End of combat is done. Everyone submits their upkeep (ie tallying up money, science and materials gained and lost). We move to cleanup phase, where everyone adjusts population cubes for worlds they've lost and new technologies are drawn etc...
  • During cleanup the game mod rolls 2 dice.
  • Before determining the outcome of a supernova roll, subtract the number of techs in the *least* populated of the three tech tracks from the round number. Do this for the player that occupies the hex (if any). If the owner has a blank research track (like I do now), or the hex has no owner, then the modifier is zero.
  • If the sum of the 2 dice is less than or equal to the round number (we are in round 1 of 9 now) minus the research modifier then the supernova blows up, eliminating all population cubes, destroying all ships in the hex, closing all wormholes, and creating a blank hex that can only be traversed using the wormhole generator or jumpdrive technologies.

So the chances of explosion are zero in round 1 and increase usually to about 50-60% in round 9 (assuming the owner researches 2 techs in each row or so).

An exploding supernova can be used to your advantage too...if you decide you want an avenue into your territory closed off then you can easily just de-influence the hex and maximize chances of it blowing up...especially if an enemy has a lot of material parked there.

Colonize the two money planets and then reset those two colony ships.

IH did Khell give you any instructions regarding exchanging Diplomacy?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

at the end of every round two die are rolled. The total of the die is then modified by your tech on your player board. The tech is seperated into three rows. The row with the few tech is the modifyer. Then you compare the roll with modifier to whichever round we are in the game and if the modified roll is equal or smaller than the current round the supernova hex blows up and the tile is flipped over and is no longer a useful tile. Otherwise it will generate resources for another round.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I was trying to find an image with the complete map but it looks like there isn't one. But from what I can see we can't echange diplomacy as we aren't connected. Yet. Khell can connect right now. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do long term and what I do now with my diplomacy cubes plays a big part in each of those strategies so I'm not in a huge rush to make my decision.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yes but you asked Morgoth and he accepted and now he has an ambassador with an economy cube on it, I thought once accepted you had to choose straight away. The complete map is in the OP.

If I understand it correctly, twelve cannot explore from the center because he is pinned, yes? So that would mean my tier 1 tile is safe until I want it.

Presuming my understanding is the correct one I'll explore tier 3, due south of homeworld.
