Last I looked i was 24 and Twelve / D'rek were around 40. It only really became a possibility once D'rek's ships got pinned. I had planned on sending a bunch of interceptors to the slaughter to fill the VP track, and go all-in on the GC with everything else, but seemed I could secure a lot more points with more certainty the way I did it.

But you're right. Dropping his score by 4 while increasing mine by the same amount would have ensured victory.

You know what would be sweet? A rule variant for this game that enabled trading of resources between diplo partners and allies.

That's the one thing this game is missing IMO. It's my favourite part about games like Catan...getting all bitchy at each other about resource trading....and using it as a tactic to gang up on the leader(s).

The vassal file will not let me do anything with the rep badges that are turned over. I cannot flip them and I cannot send them back to the pile.

I think this means I'm going to have to do a count of badges to determine which ones are actually in the draw pile and finish the draw manually.

Fyi gnaw, just went back to check. My upside-down vp tile should be a 3. Post on the 12th of december from tatts at the pre-cleanup of round 8 shows everyone's board with the vp face-up.

In cases of drawn initiative I've always just rolled dice for both ship types at the same time. The rules do say each Ship type (Interceptor, Cruiser...) of each player are activated in Initiative order implying this is wrong but as far as I know there is no ruling either way in the rules.

In cases of drawn initiative I've always just rolled dice for both ship types at the same time. The rules do say each Ship type (Interceptor, Cruiser...) of each player are activated in Initiative order implying this is wrong but as far as I know there is no ruling either way in the rules.


Yeah, I think the 'proper' way to do it would be to just let the player who owns the tied ships pick which type they would want to do first and do each ship type separately as normal, but the rules don't seem to say much about it either way.

so is the gane over? did I win? kinda sucks that not one single missle in the fight with tatts hit. 10 missiles and not a single hit. luckily for me the ancient rocked it.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
