That's probably the best way to handle it. Just add back the resources D'rek would have gotten had she decided to pass early last round. Sucks, but it's not like it's the final round.

Its going to be interesting to see where this game goes. The base game really lacks good counters for the gluon plus plasma strategy, but I think twelve could still easily get into trouble if people coordinate against him. Pinning and bypassing his starbase with intys could be fruitful, or massive amounts of hull across multiple fronts.

Tatts starbase design is pretty good, but its really only a defensive measure (and I don't know if twelve will risk stretching himself further by attacking someone). Its the major weakness of the base game in my view that missiles can become so very hard to beat, but I think you can do it!

Yeah, I'm still sitting on a pretty pure defensive build too. I have the materials and moves to fend Twelve off for this round at least, but I'm unsure how to proceed down the road. I'm set up to get some VPs through research for sure, and wormhole generator is always on the table...taking on Twelve head-on unless somebody is really harassing him from the other end is pretty unrealistic, sadly.

Hence why I grabbed them as soon as I could even bypassing the neutron bombs when they came out. I'm also aware of the fact that I have a lot of border I have to cover so will need to figure out how to defend against the coming waves. The two adv material tech that came out this round is going to make my job much harder that and CF getting missiles himself doesn't help but I still like my chances.

No worries twelve, I have no plans for an all-out on my own assault. I just don't have the firepower for it...at all.
