I've got the images. Is it legal?
If I'm going to do it I might just as well get the 4 pack for $36.

Cf took the grid for himself, Tatts. You have no choice now but to punish him or he will think you weak.

I'm not sure on the legalities to be honest. It's still in its infancy at the moment, I don't know how easy it is to do, but eclipse should be relatively easy to implement as most of the game doesn't rely on selective vision. (Though I don't know how easy draw out of the bag will be to implement)

At the end of the youtube vid it looked to me like they were using the "game builder" - like when they made the little towers of blocks. There are spheres (chinese checkers), dominos and chess pieces, so obviously different geometries are possible. Ships could just be basic shapes to start (ie big, medium and small triangles), and everything else in the game is discs or cubes. If chess pieces are possible then likely textured hexes are possible too. If you noticed they had a "card turn over" function as well, so potentially you could have the hexes shuffled in stacks.
It has a random number generator (ie dice rolls) and can handle multi-sided dice. We could probably work out a dice roll system for selecting hexes if stacking them doesn't work.
One potential problem is the sheer number of pieces in a game of Eclipse. Might break the program - None of the games featured had anywhere near the amount in Eclipse.
Still, it would be 100% awesome.

I'm downloading it now. Who wants the other 3? My steam account name is gnawazan.

Might break the program? Coool.
The pker table is an octagon so I'm hoping it can do hexes

No reason we can't keep circulating moves. I haven't moved any ships and my research is generally non-threatening.

Just seen you can download single player for free here: http://www.berserk-g...m/ts/downloads/
Gnaw I'd take one, but I won't have a computer for a few months, so not ideal if you want to test play. But if no one else wants, count me in! I'll no doubt be buying it anyway if eclipse works.
Now the dream is to earn shed loads of money and get it working on this http://www.misco.co....gs-Not-Included

I don't know if the game board is big enough for eclipse. But we could damn sure use it for battle dice rolls. Put the suspense back into it.
Also maybe the hex and discovery piles. Since the game can be saved.

Hmm
Is there a way we could make a modified playerboard that would take up less space I wonder?
Does the game give a zoom-in capability?
EDIT
cause if you could pan and zoom then you could just make the pieces really small.
