Yup! Where I worked had quite a big cell space underneath that was basically unused (or rather it was just a dumping ground/locker rooms etc.) And the BBC has used it 2 or 3 times for various shows. I was on shift when they filmed this one.

That whole episode was ace btw. The way it all linked in towards the end was fantastic.

The reason for the name THE SIGN OF THREE was so amazing when revealed. I was like "Ohhhh! Awesome." and I kind of like how Sherlock mentions the last vow in his post-violin speech....and the next ep is HIS LAST VOW. Brill.

That was a brilliant if slightly disjointed episode. Massive cliffhanger, of course - and the series now really deviate from the books

with both Mary's background and Moriarty's return, who only starred in two Sherlock books, when Doyle decided to kill off Sherlock.

It might be that this will be Moriarty's lieutenant playing a prank - as happened when Doyle brought Sherlock back after Reichenbach falls)

Finally got a chance to watch. Holy shitsnacks what a cracker of an episode!

Things I did NOT see coming. Mary having a past that was linked all the way through to Mycroft so that Magnusson just tweaked everyone to get to that...Sherlock straight up CAPPING Magnusson (tho, I DID note to the Mrs. after they realized it was all stuff he kept in his head and there was not vault that he WOULD have to die otherwise Mary would not be safe)....that was crazy. And I LOVED LOVED LOVED Moriarty showing up in Sherlock's Mind Palace...so when the end ep reveal that he's still alive came round, I was super impressed as well.

Just a phenomenal series all around.

Oh, and did anyone else notice that the guy who played Billy Wiggins was Dudley from the Harry Potter films...all growed up? Crazyness!

Loved this series of Sherlock, shamed it is only 3 episodes, but it is why I tend to watch British TV, tend not to thrash all their shows to death.

Not sure if this is Moriarty being alive, or someone else (Sebastian Moran?) playing a trick and using Moriarty.
Since nothing was mentioned about Moriarty's body being found on top of the hospital, it is not inconceivable that he somehow was alive and got away, though.

I think they know they killed him off too early. Hes a pretty bad villain in the books designed to allow Sherlock to be killed off nobly but the skinny psycho Moriarty is a very good villain. I dont think it will a double bluff as theyve deviated from the books a fair bit anyway and would want to use Moriarty rather than snub the fans

Actually, they were just following suit with the books. Moriarty is introduced in THE FINAL PROBLEM where both he and Sherlock fall off the Reichenbach Falls to their apparent deaths. Sherlock comes back first, and later Moriarty does as well. So we've seen Sherlock on the show come back now (after S2 finale THE REICHENBACH FALL), and now they'll bring back Moriarty as well.
