That ditch was a tactical masterpiece. It meant they didn't have to do much work to bury all the bodies.

Fair enough.
It would not be very high on my list of important things when fighting a demon force (supposedly) 1.000 times bigger than my own army bent on destroying the world, but I can see the value of this, yes. You don't want a disgruntled cleaning crew afterwards, oh no. Kingdoms have fallen for less.

Well, we get to see what they can do with another season as it's been renewed.

Despite all the entirely valid critique, it got eyeballs for MTV.
Renewal was almost a foregone conclusion.

I've decided that I will totally watch, but I'm going to be MUCH less forgiving of filler, and nonsense story points, and bad character development in a second season.

You've had your freshmen season to screw up in...now make it stick.

I'm also a little disappointed that we won't see Brin and they seem to want to do Wishsong with the characters from Elfstones as Abyss noted they might....especially with how it ended.

It's only 10 20-minute episodes. You could probably knock it out in a couple days tbh. But who knows if you'll even want to? You ever go into something knowing it's bad (by reputation at least) and then are still shocked by just how bad it is? That's this show (minus the decent-if-wonky first ep).

They'll be around 40 minutes per without commercials.

I have 3 questions for you:

Have you read The Elfstones of Shannara?

If so, are you fond of it?

Have you read through this thread??

Depending on your answers, watch at your own risk...

Oh wait, yah, I forgot they were. So little happens in them I forgot they weren't a half hour.

Read it many yrs ago. Don't remember much except an elf turns into tree.

Well in that case, you can judge the show without bias, on it's own merit, I suppose. Enjoy!

I saw that this is now on NETFLIX. I think that I am going to pass unless I run out of stuff on either Netflix or Amazon Prime to watch. In the blurps everyone looks so clean. Since I loved ElfStones (still have it). I would rather not ruin it.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

As a firm ELFSTONES fan, I feel safe in saying that the show will not ruin it because it has near-zero resemblance to it beyond a few names and three shiny stones.

...and cmon... vagnomes... you're curious. Admit it... you NEED TO KNOW.

I hate you... I do want to know. But I shall hold off. Strange things is getting released on Netflix this week, Mr Robot is back and I am knee deep in Preacher.

I have never read Shannara or know anything about the series.
Was really bored last night and started this.
On the 6th episode and I really don't know why I'm continuing. Its really poor.

I mean. It's really really bad.
Some of the story advancement is childish and farcical at best.
The usual problems of nonsensical distances and travel times apply in abundance.
The actors. Well they arent terrible. Poppy Dreyton needs to stop pulling her half whing smile face.
Shitty love triangle is shitty.
