Egwene prefers blond mice. Good to know.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Ahmm.... blond as in 'ashblond'... which is more of a greyish colour hence 'mousy' is one of the terms which it might be described as. Just google 'mouse' - I would say the colour is more grey/blond than grey/brown.

As for preferences... Egwene prefers no mice in the house! :p

Hey don't worry, we all have our thing. Mine was always Riff Raff's girl Cleo from the Heathcliff cartoon:

HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

So I've been working on this on and off for the past couple of months. 2 mins here 30 mins there. Its an agonizingly slow process but in preparation for the advent of my daughters' arrival I have to say I've been quite busy, hence all the extra work I've taken on. Still I have to say the piece has matured well over the time I've sat with it...

Thanks!

Ok we have laseen in the centre, mousier and somewhat more expressive as in my initial versions,

Behind her Tayschrenn to the left, (our left) and Lorn to the right.

Behind them, on the right my own version of Possum as I see him in my head. I couldn't find the literature describing him.

To the left behind Lorn we have Topper, who is described as being of Tiste Andii/Human origin.

Then we have the windvane. I have to cop up to it, placed more for the aesthetic than for environmental accuracy.

Really getting there, Dolmen ;)

There is a detail missing for Topper. In GotM he is always described as wearing a lot of rings on all his fingers, above and bellow the knuckle.

Oh that's perfect! I completely overlooked that. I don't like the hand gesture that much anyways.

will try another option and ring it up! ;)

Love it ;)

You've developed a recognizable style, Dolmen. Allow me to use you as an example of what I'd been about all those years I spent sniping at people for not drawing what the books say.. My point was that while I may not agree with minor details, the overall impression should allow recognition and make sense within the context. I can immediately recognize who is who in your image and that means I stop caring whether the shade of Topper's shirt is the right shade of green.. if you know what I mean?

Fantastic, Dolmen. I reckon SE and ICE should come and see you and CN for the cover of any future books!

I am surprised neither of you went for a 'Dancer's Lament' interpretation.

You get great movement in your drawings. Wish I could do that.
Who's the gymnast?

Thanks CN, It's supposed to be a mock up of Traveller and Karsa.

I developed my art mostly from watching animation, playing videogames and reading LOTS of X-men comics. so all my favorite mental images are fight scenes. It kinda all spills out on paper whenever I want to draw something.

I really struggle when I have to do a Somber/Sorrowful piece.
