ok, so it looks like i've managed to convince Ghen to vote me too, great, :)
once again, why don't y'all speed this trainwreck along so that I can start gloating and telling you "told you so" already?

Trake, I absolutely see your point re: Hanas' vote upon re-read.

You know, I almost could see Hanas doing more or less just what Fanderay says and just not having paid much attention. Almost.

But as Trake pointed out, Hanas' posts show that he was catching up and would have seen what the vote count currently was. Furthermore, he knew that he was coming online for the first time in the day close after a huge disappearance and with only a short time left in the day. Yet still he pops in, votes, and disappears again.

This was not an empty thread that he was posting to - his first post upon reappearing is only 10 minutes after one of Trake's, and Ghennan posts only 20 minutes after Hanas' vote, but as far as we can tell he just skipped off after dropping the useless vote.

I would sincerely hope that a townie who's been away for 30 hours would try a little harder or give a little more time than that on what certainly seemed to be D-Day.

Lastly, of course, we can't ignore that we already had an instance of Hanas seeming to work for Fanderay's benefit on day 2.

It's not enough to be absolutely 100% totally certain that Fanderay is a killer and Hanas was a symp, but by gods it sure does look that way. If you have a case this good on what is certainly D-Day, and nothing else nearly as good, and you don't act on it... well then how do you continue having any notion of what case-making or regular mafia play should be anymore?

Though I'm not afraid to admit that my opinion might be just a little influenced by the fear of being ridiculed for not lynching Fanderay if he really is scum. Everyone in SH will be like "C'mon! You had so many signs!" and we'll be shamed out of mafia forever...

That day the monks attempted, with little success, to get back to something resembling a regular routine despite the loss of their abbot, their herbalist, their cellarer and his assistant. The dour master librarian Malachi had taken de facto charge of the abbey until after the meeting between the imperial and papal representatives had concluded and the foreigners sent on their way. Indeed, tomorrow morning they would leave, having resolved nothing – to the satisfaction of everyone involved. The papal delegates would take Remigio and Salvatore with them, to be tried for heresy at Avignon.

The next morning arrived, and the monks trailed into the hall for their meals. Some seats were empty, in itself not unusual as some of the monks often skipped breakfast to get an extra hour or two in bed, and would then raid the kitchen whenever they thought no one was looking. As the morning prayers and sermon were being read out during the meal, the head cook ran in and went straight to Malachi. The other monks all stopped in their activities as they watched the short whispered exchange.

Malachi, his eyes wide, rose up and exited the hall. Some others, nervous of face all, followed after him – Berengar, Benno, and Aymaro, the latter guiding blind Jorge with him, pre-eminent among them.

Malachi walked into the storage room, conscious of the monks crowding behind him but knowing there was little he could do to stop them. He walked over to the giant storage vat the cook had pointed out to him. The vats were full of pigs’ blood, to be used in the making of blood puddings, but this particular vat also contained another unusual item – a pair of legs sticking out the top.

The vat was upended, the blood flowing across the room, and the body dragged out in its wake. It was the translator, Venantius of Salvemec, to whom Malachi had denied access to the book so many times. And now it seems that someone had denied him permanently. The trail, now mostly obscured by the tramping feet of the monks, indicated that Venantius had met his end near the library entrance, and then had been dragged through the snow to be dumped into the vats.

Upon being told of what had been found, Jorge loudly pronounced:

“Death by blood. And Severinus was killed by the armillary sphere – death by the sky itself falling – it is the signs of the Apocalypse!”

Trake has been killed. He was Venantius of Salvemec, town, and Grief.

Out of interest, Fanderay, would you prefer to lynch me or Jalan today?

I was going to wait to post this until after Fanderay answered Ghennan's above query, but I'm starting to suspect Fanderay might be gone for a while, and it probably won't change anything anyways.

I see Fanderay as the scummiest right now, for all the reasons we covered yesterday. I'm certainly still going to read any more posts or discussion that are raised with as open mind as I can manage, but for now I'm quite set on Fanderay.

Fanderay will of course then say that he finds me to be his top suspect, especially now that I've posted this.

That puts us 1-1 and the decision comes down to you, Ghennan.

We probably don't need to wait the full weekend+36 hours to vote, but I'm not in any big rush if you want to talk some things out. I'm mostly not busy this weekend so will check in every few hours.

buzzed (not quite drunk) posting, cuz why the hell not?
to answer your question, Ghen, leanon a bit towards Jalan atm, his pre-emptive defence notwithstanding. its not really nything concrete, though, and before forming an actual opinion I'd need a sober re-read (b/c Trake wass nmy no 1 suspect and- honest to God expecteed the killer would fuck with us and withold, cuz then you'd have even more of a consensus to get rid of me).
but a re-read wont happen till Monfay at work, b/c tom i'll be sleeping off tonight, and then I got footy, where i'll have to play goalie, and ill prolly break someone (or myself) cuz i fucking despise playong net, so ill be more lout, more tense and more reckless than usual (and if you ever so me play yoiu'd know this means you should run for the fuckin hills). so after that, provided I'm not in the hospital, ill be gwetting (mildly, since Mon is a work day) roaring drunk, and yeah. internet wont happen till Mon morning.
I will say that your cautios mnner makes me think less scum of you ghen. but il need a solid re-read b4 voting.
if you decide not to wait n vote me off, i'll understand. kudos to whiver one of you is scum, if that happens.
oh, just in case, b/c I remember T.L.D.M.S:

(B ) VOTE PATH-SHAPER (/:)

been meanin to get that one off my chest for a while. the smae rrquest to squarewfy brackets (fuck you, Bllackberry) applies
:)
k, im out now. enjoy your sunday, peeps

Ok, I'm bored now, and not necessarily going to be able to check the thread for updates every few hours like I was doing over the weekend fruitlessly.

Vote Path-Shaper

Just for you, Fandy. If there were funny business about now Path-Shaper is dead

and if not,

Remove Vote
Vote Fanderay

Now you vote for me of course, Fandy, and whenever Ghennan manages to get some time in he can choose which one of us dies. I would have liked to hear some thoughts from Ghenny over the weekend first, but I guess he didn't have time, and frankly ( :) ) this wasn't going to go any other way up to this point anyways.

Ghen probably won't be on for a while, since they seem to be in a very Eastern timezone.

I ought to vote you just for stealing my "frankly", but tbh I still want to do a re-read. I have little illusions about you voting me off, but I'd like to try figure out which one of you two is actually scum.
