I think so, but since you really asked I can wait until Grief gets on and we can message back and forth over the weekend (he is in a different time zone then me and we aren't really on at the same time) then come up with a more detailed answer.

We've been on the same turn for 7 days.

Oh man, I was playing Eclipse on the Ipad, and I committed the most amateur mistake possible.

I was Terrans, and had done well - isolated myself so couldn't be attacked throughout the game unless people went via the GC. Got loads of points from fighting ancients I found plus research and hex influence. I could have probably won without taking the GC, but I got greedy.

Final round, Orion and Mechanema decide to have big fight for the GC. I want in on that action, just because I want the GC too. So I send in an interceptor, two cruisers, and two dreadnaughts (I'm last in so have to fight both). Builds, upgrades, moves all required. I figure I can save myself from bankruptcy if I win the GC and colonise the money slots. So it's all or nothing.

As it is, I trounce both of them, losing only the interceptor. Champagne gets ready to have its cork popped. Only...

I forgot that I'd need an influence disk to actually influence the GC, and I'd used all of them up. So I go bankrupt and finish dead last instead

I hate that about the rep comments. They give you space to type something in there but then if you go too many characters over a certain limit the person receiving the rep can't read it all. That and after so many reps you can't read any of the comments at all. Does this forum have a suggestion box? Might be worth putting that one in it.
