I passed in part because he didn't want to attack. One upgrade action, two move action, and a second upgrade would have given two more pin ships to aid him. But he said he wasn't going to attack. Now he's talking attack. *sigh*

As it stands now, he can have 4 ships there. That forces you to build 3 ships rather than the two dreads. Or convert 3 money to a mat so you can build that 3rd one.

Or you can go go all small ships. But then you risk not being able to clear his cubes.

And I still think Grungy would have been fun. :)

Completely off topic: I've got an iphone 4s and a 5 to sell. ATT so sim cards. I think that means you eurotrash er, eurotypes can use them? Anyone interested? Deeply discounted for fellow galactic denizens and/or mafia addicts.

Hmm, intriguing. IH/Grievance are out of moves. Anything they do from now on means they'll have to start bankrupting hexes.

That was the point from the beginning I think. The influence action was designed to stop me from moving ships into 304 or Vega so the fight against IH would be heavily in my favor. Though they should still have a move or two left before bankrupcty starts to kick in I thought.

Well, the board says they have 12 money in production, 0 in storage, and are currently sitting on -10 in upkeep. So the next action will take them to -13, meaning they'll have to part with a hex (presumably 304) at the end of the round.

I'm thinking about this from my perspective, of course. There's a Grievance dread sitting waiting at the warp portal, but now I'm thinking if it's worth them moving it (meaning losing another hex at the end of the round).

Well if he relieves me of the supernova hex you can add two more money to that equation putting him at 18 income and 3 more influence disks would put him at -21 so all he would have to do is bankrupt 304 to afford the upkeep. So needless to say I'm holding off building and moving ships as long as possible.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

But don't you want to get out past the supernova? So shouldn't you move ships to 304 ASAP before he can pin them in the supernova?

Interesting also that if there is a fight in the supernova, and afterward it blows up (as it probably will under Grievance as they have zero bonus from their research), they'd lose any ships remaining there. Though I guess with their materials production it's not the worst hit in the world.

I don't know. It almost looks to me as if IH doesn't plan to fight you if he can help it. Block you up, wait for the nova to blow, put on jump drives next round and dispose of you at his leisure, if he needs the extra VPs.

EDIT: 2000!!!!

Also, Gnaw. Do you seriously believe the neutron absorber is so vital to my interests you'll chose to give your alliance last pick of technology?

Yeah so since IH is silent right now and neither myself or grief know what we are doing yet.
I am not sure what order these should go in. Do I need to say what hexes I am bankrupting?

Build starbase and 2 interceptors in 304

Bankrupt 304

Move dread on warp portal to help tatts/defend gnaws homeworld

Bankrupt 204

Now mind you I haven't fully read the rules and so am not really sure which thing is what. But you wanted moves so there you go.

I was wondering that myself. It's a useful tech to be sure, but it's hardly the end of the world for his alliance if we end up with it.

And doesn't that mean the rotation has to go through their chief rivals in order to get to them???? I think I'd much rather send rotation through a weak, pacifist faction than the faction with ships on his doorstep.

Obviously a biased opinion, but correct I think.

It's interesting because it shows he doesn't believe that someone will do massive invasions with lots of firepower that would wipe cubes out through volume and damage, but instead expects fighters sneaking into your territories.

It would hardly be the most surprising of moves, but to be honest I'm not particularly worried about that unless Grungy decides to build only fighters with jump drives. .

Tht looks to be two moves Venge. In one move you build, in another you move. I don't know if it is a choice between the two or that he wants you to do both. Let's see what Gnaw says.

edit I think he only can afford one of those actions.

You do not need to decide what systems you chose to bankrupt until we reach the upkeep phase. So after all the actions are done and all the battles are fought.
