Tatts is just trying to stave off a clever attack on his alliance.

I welcome it, like you say it opens up the board. Khell had no where else to go. He was getting itchy fingers. They only had one front in which to defend themselves from before. It stretches them.

@ D'rek, Tapper:

I think Gnaw is probably the best bet for an incursion, as the Axis' most thinly spread-out member (plus out of moves without bankruptcy).

Late afternoon UTC - 5. Hmm, by my reasoning that means around 4pm his time, that is late afternoon, not yet evening. So that would be 9pm my time here. So at the very least if we could all get actions in we could end the round tonight?

My father is sick so I was able to re-schedule to Thursday afternoon.

I am considering passing - alternatively, I could research orbitals, then use the pulsar to build one and colonize it. Also, I could research Advanced Robotics, then and do another influence, then build my second dread with Pulsar, which then is set to a move/upgrade for next turn, which is the better combination.

I hesitate, mostly because Gnaw might try to outwit me by moving one of his his fighters around a lot and bankrupt, but.... just in order to try and depopulate one of my planets, he'd have to give up a juicy system himself.

I have no intention of suiciding out. But I can afford a reaction or two. Specific ones.

Aye, hope he gets well.

@ Khell: go for it, but with some caution ^_^
Research Advanced Robotics.
Flip a colony ship for 1 mats (6 --> 7).

He's 82. He kicked his cpap mask off sometime in the night so wasn't getting oxygen. He'll be fine by 2 or 3 this afternoon. Other than needing the oxygen he's in mostly great health. One trip to the ICU every year or two for 4 days for pneumonia. He's going to outlive me probably.

@Morgoth Uh, I suggested that Khell was going to do that very thing last turn. I prefer him doing it to Twelve doing it.

@Tapper It's your turn. ^_^

Oh, I am not talking about full blown out suiciding. But either trading mats or removing discs is also bankruptcy, of a less damaging kind.

Ah. Yes. That I can do.

And if I've got the maths right, I'll be fine.

The Axis alliance have been getting a ton of help from the other alliances by them stealing my moves when it would help them by letting me do it and wreacking havoc on the western front. (MORGOTH!!!!!!!! KHELL!!!!!!!!!!!)

But that's okay. I'll recover and get to play kingmaker(s)
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Khell I say go for IH's homeworld. He has an interceptor there and can't build anything else, and it's very far for anyone else to move ships to.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Do two moves: build the warp portal, and move your dread to IH's homeworld. You can leave the cruiser for now - your dread vs IH's interceptor is a ~95% chance of winning.

Two moves makes your upkeep -13. Influence it afterwards, making your upkeep -17 but colonize it for science and money. Remove Epsilon Carinae in bankruptcy and you'll have:

0 +12 -13

trade 3 materials for 1 money:

1 +12 -13 = 0
0 +8 = 8 science
2 +4 = 6 materials

or

1 +12 -13 = 0
0 +10 = 10 science
2 +3 = 5 materials

at the start of next round.

All y'all play by the odds too much. Odds can't tell you what a creative ship captain or a brave fighter pilot can achieve. They can shine!
