Not very many of you for an interstellar civilization, hey?

They should have some more parties with their students. All those young squid-lasses. Young, beautiful, confused and naive about life. Enter me, a dashing middle aged professor with manicured suckers and just the right amount of age-fringing along the suslibeak. They marvel at my authority and willingness to buy them fine champagne. Many a larvae has found its way into the great esa'che pools I can tell you that.

This reminds me of the first eclipse game... ^_^

Disoveries.

I had two lists. The one in the action thread and one in an excel spreadsheet. The ONLY difference between them is the "free ancient interceptor" and "ancient interceptor".

I can make the excel list the "official" list easily enough.

Turn 3 -- Tatts gets his cruiser.
turn 4 -- Tapper gets his +8
turn 4 -- Gnaw still has to change because the number of available tiles changed with Tapper. Which means I get that fucking nova burst either way.

You're the mod. Do what is necessary to make it as easy on you as possible. I'm okay with the rerolls if that is how you have it organized. Just let us know who gets what in a "This is the official results of discovery tiles and if you don't like it here is a bag o dicks" Post.

^_^
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I agree. I was confused cause of the "turns". I think whatever you think is best.

It's in the action thread.

I have no problem with using one or the other list.

My personal preference as the player is what IH said: leave them all as they were. But the mod hat says that is a bad precedence.

The error became an issue because I was in way too much of a hurry yesterday to resolve actions. That isn't going to happen again.

Okay so it sounds like the mod says the rerolls stand,

Tatts gets the ancient interceptors
Gnaw gets Nova Burst and
Tapper gets even more money (sheesh +16 money in round 1)

Now that has been resolved. What are the results of the explores!!!!!!
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Captain Robert A Booie of Cook,

It must be with some trepidation that you receive orders to set out on your exploration mission. With the loss of Tim Sabian's Cabot to unknown assailants near the starforge, you and your crew is no doubt anxious. The mission must go on however - we didn't expect this to be an easy ride for the human race but I think we all agree that exploration and expansion is necessary. Proceed through the SE procyon wormhole and report back as soon as you clear the event horizon on the far side.

And do not forget standing orders not to return any subspace transmissions from conservinews corp.

While the east bound explorations have been yielding no discoveries in the form of new systems yet, it did yield an unexpected bounty in the form of gold containing asteroids. With the money thus obtained, the eastbound exploration is set to continue. From newly discovered Iota Corinae, two ways are possible, one north-east, one south-east. A south-eastern approach is taken.

Discover ring 3, south-east from Iota Corinae.

Tatts, if you want to make a case for keeping your cruiser now is the time to do it. I have to know which list I'm using before I roll those dicsoveries.

Did Tapper just get ANOTHER discovery? What this time - +8 of everything, perhaps? ^_^

In the throne room, a frantic report is being delivered of the threatening Hegemony directing their wormholes in my direction. There's no time to waste. Momentarily dispensing with the facade, my scout ships begin racing towards an unformed wormhole before they even receive the order. We'll call it an instinctive reaction. Yeah, that makes sense.

"Yes sir. We have one unexplored worm hole from Rigel. We could keep exploring North of the Supernova that we encountered but that would be a risk at this time. My advice would be to explore North West of Rigel" she replied

"Thank you Miss Gemony. Commander Paran, set course for the worm hole North West of Rigel"

"Yes Sir!" replied Ganoes.

How are we doing the discard draws? Do we make another pile and after your explore you create a new discard pile? I kinda want to know if I 100% know what I may draw or if it's a 50-50 proposition.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

We're onto the discard pile now, yes? You'll have to wait until everyone confirms they are keeping the hexes they just explored, because if they discard them it will change your possibilities.

@Twelve - the discard pile is shuffled when you convert it back into the new draw pile, so you won't have 100% certainty.

Yes I will. Gnaw draws 2 so if there are 3 tiles in the discard pile and I see what Gnaw draws and discards the bottom tile is what is left and the next person who explores gets the last tile that has been discarded twice.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Synchronized laughter echoes throughout the Beta Lyrae and Geminga systems as news of the Hegemon's suggestions to the Triarch are broadcast. The Orions have suggested that the two races deliberately connect their civilizations, giving false platitudes of peace and mercantile exchange glossed by a permeable veneer of poorly acted sincerity and kindness. The Triarch's orders appear on my cockpit viewscreen, ordering the squadron to fully explore the sector and identify any unformed wormholes.

In the bridge of the new experimental wormship, I direct the helmsman to move the ship into formation a short distance behind the scouts. The weapons officer reports that the liozinium rockets are online and ready to fire. The Triarch's orders are clear - there shall be no bridges to the Hegemony.

Keep Lambda Tauri. Orient it with wormholes pointed SW, SE and NE

Not enough money to influence it, sadly.
