This is Captain Oliver Ryan of the Rigel Explorer. We have found many new worlds, made new friends of some forgotten species. We have encountered strange Ancient ships blocking our path from one corner of the Galaxy. We have found numerous resources to help us explore further in the hope to prosper. Some areas we have explored are not as prosperous so we will not have to visit them further in the future. We are pleased with our initial findings.

So who has what discoveries now? Bit confused with all the rerolling. I have to say I'd prefer if a mistake was made on a discovery to just leave it as it is, it's still some sort of random, if not perfect. For example in tatts position, my moves with an extra cruiser would have been very different.

I have VP's instead of ancient interceptor. Tapper received money. Gnaw received Nova Burst.

So do you have 2 cruisers still or not?

No, I only have the one. The map has not been updated yet. We are waiting on a transmission from the Galactic Center to see where things stand properly. Now that the Terrans have undertaken their turn, we now move onto what the Guardians of Magellan are about to do.

While the east bound explorations have been yielding no discoveries in the form of new systems yet, it did yield an unexpected bounty in the form of gold containing asteroids. With the money thus obtained, the eastbound exploration is set to continue. From newly discovered Iota Corinae, two ways are possible, one north-east, one south-east. A south-eastern approach is taken.

Discover ring 3, south-east from Iota Corinae.
Claim if there are no ancients.
Take any discoveries.

Everyone is entitled to his own wrong opinion. - Lizrad

With the Enlightened of Lyra poised to make their move, the world holds its breath at what the mysterious Planta are going to do. Will they build something, move something or upgrade something? No one knows but the mighty Hivemind!

In the throne room, a frantic report is being delivered of the threatening Hegemony directing their wormholes in my direction. There's no time to waste. Momentarily dispensing with the facade, my scout ships begin racing towards an unformed wormhole before they even receive the order. We'll call it an instinctive reaction. Yeah, that makes sense.

Explore North-West of Beta Lyrae

Connect and we can at least exchange ambassadors. That would be mutually beneficial.

"Hed can you give me a progress report please?" Oliver asked

"Yes sir. We have one unexplored worm hole from Rigel. We could keep exploring North of the Supernova that we encountered but that would be a risk at this time. My advice would be to explore North West of Rigel" she replied

"Thank you Miss Gemony. Commander Paran, set course for the worm hole North West of Rigel"

"Yes Sir!" replied Ganoes.

I fear there's been a mistake. I was going over my cubes and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to have one less on $ and one more on science. There is at least on TA who will become responsible for keeping the faculty Kitchen in order.

Anyways, I guess I'll keep the tile at its current rotation and influence. I will also settle both planets producing that sweet sweet, lab-funding cash, and the materials planet.

That puts me at

$ 2/+8, S 0/+6, M 2/+3

upkeep -10,

If I'm not mistaken.

Wait didn't you uncover Beta Delphini? How can you colonize both planets? Aren't they a money and an advance Money planet?

And Tapper uncovered 2 +8 money discovery tiles in the first round? Damn!!!

And it looks like if I want to explore again it will have to be from the discard group. I'll have to go take a look at those again to see if it will be worth it.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

The great minds of the mechanema lament that the results of there explorations have yielded only barren tiles and conflict. The probability calculators have determined that exploration will likely yield new planets, but the calculations of the economists reveal that this way lies certain ruin. in the end a compromise is reached, with the great machines reaching for new knowledge. In a hostile galaxy the means to destroy the organic lifeforms would benefit the mechanema greatly.

With the approach to the galactic centre secured and enduring peace with the Planta secured, it is time for the Magellan to turn their attention to the East and the outreaches of the universe, even though L'association d'economique is warning publicly against over-extension and economic exhaustion. An exploration fleet was composed and sent out east, while L'ambassadeur Outan is sent out on behalf of the Fraternité pour la fermentation to negotiate trade relations with the human empire.

Explore Tier III from my homeworld in a north-east direction. Claim, don't colonize any planets.

Captain Robert A Booie of Cook,

It must be with some trepidation that you receive orders to set out on your exploration mission. With the loss of Tim Sabian's Cabot to unknown assailants near the starforge, you and your crew is no doubt anxious. The mission must go on however - we didn't expect this to be an easy ride for the human race but I think we all agree that exploration and expansion is necessary. Proceed through the SE procyon wormhole and report back as soon as you clear the event horizon on the far side.

And do not forget standing orders not to return any subspace transmissions from conservinews corp.

Really? It's 24 tier 3 hexes, right?

Haven't we only had about 15 tier 3 explores so far?

These are all the tier III hexes that have been explored

302 Gamma Serpentis
304Theta Pegasi
305Lambda Serpentis
306 Beta Centauri
307 Sigma Sagitarri
309Phi Piscium
310Nu Phoenicis
311Canopus
316 Iota Carinae
318Gamma Velorum
320Nu Ophiuci
321Beta Delphini
323Zeta Andromedae
324Epsilon Carinae
325Tau Librae
381Beta Sextantis
391Betelgeuse
392Deneb
393Geminga
394Simeis

318, 381 & 394 have all been discarded, mainly by Gnaw's double explore option but you discarded the warp portal D'rek. That is 20 explores already. As of this post we still don't know what CF, Tapper, yours D'rek or Tatts new explores will uncover. That get's us to 24 before it gets back to Gnaw. If he chooses to explore then I will know exactly what tile is left.

With that updated list, honestly there's only like 2 or 3 out of the 12 possible hexes to explore that I'll be really happy with. All 114802175 Lyra fingers are crossed!!!

They should have some more parties with their students. All those young squid-lasses. Young, beautiful, confused and naive about life. Enter me, a dashing middle aged professor with manicured suckers and just the right amount of age-fringing along the suslibeak. They marvel at my authority and willingness to buy them fine champagne. Many a larvae has found its way into the great esa'che pools I can tell you that.

The quote is confusing in itself. Is each finger metaphysically crossed with each other in every single permutation via psychic link, or are we talking about individual fingers that can only cross once with a neighbour?

If the former, then there's what...like 50 of you? If the latter, then unless you have only fractions of fingers each, then I guess Lyran breeding rates are pretty low, or lifespans are very long, or both.
