Morgoth, what you think about my early pass. I need to do an influence next action I think - to realign production in spica, but theoretically I could pass after that.

My only other action would be to upgrade my starbase computer, which can easily be done on a reaction. I could even build a dread or another starbase + do upgrades on reaction if it came down to it.

Yeah, I don't see why passing early would be negative for you. Or for us, for that matter. It will help with another round of tech and you're not in a position to attack anyone just yet. I would however like to see you make dinner now and then, and not just expect me to make it when I come home from work. Perhaps do the dishes. And you know the dog needs a walk and yet he's always my responsibility when I come home. I'm tired from work you know. I want to rest when I finally get to leave the desk. All those fucking students. They drain me of my soul. My soul, CF! And all I ask of you is some little help around the house. An occasional dinner.

That's more or less what I was thinking. I got the moneys and reactions to do some damage if anybody comes-a-knocking, but keeping my military levels low helps to keep Tapper's fear-levels low too, and we don't need him on our backs.

One thing I didn't think of RE that orbital was the fact that it has to stay where it was discovered. In hindsight (with that being a potentially contentious hex) it might have been a better option to take the VPs. No matter though - you keeping that hex helps defend one of our vulnerable-to-IH borders. I'd slap a couple bases down on it if you're planning to keep it though. Maybe not though. Retaliatory sneak starbases are almost more frightening - like what Khell did to me last game. I thought I had him all locked up and then he starbased me and I was all like "wooooah dude you just BASED me" and he was like "daaaaaamn son, you shouldnta been wastin my flava like that!"

And I know upgrading was at least going to be one of your moves. Maybe a second upgrade and two builds will probably be the whole extent of your Evil plans. Or a sneak move in if I'm not careful after you add those jump drives onto either your cruisers or Dreads.

Don't put jump drive or missiles on any ship yet.

Turn 1: influence 304
Turn 2: build a cruiser and 2 interceptors.
Turn 3: build ? depends upon what he builds/upgrades.

Good: Trap him in 304 if you have to. Better: stop him in the nova. Best: keep him in 310. If you win the battle and the nova blows then you equip the jump drive.
