IH, what thinkest thou?

If I keep Aldebaran, I'm fairly certain I can keep anyone from taking the GCDS this round. I'd be a potential threat to D'rek which should help Tatts. But I'll be worthless at helping you.

If it helps you out at all, I know EXACTLY what I'll be doing this next round :)

Heh. I should have asked while IH was still around.

Influence and colonize money in Aldebaran:
  • -17 upkeep with 18 production
  • start round 5
    • -2 upkeep
    • bank: $1, Sc 8, Ma 13
    • production: $15, Sc 6, Ma 4 One cube from orbital unassigned.
  • A hex on the far side of the GCDS
    • Has to be protected
    • thorn in the Hippie's side; especially Khell's because he'll have two back doors and a front door.
    • Cube probably needs to go to money instead of mats or science. so $10 production at start. $10, 6, 4.

Don't influence
  • -13 upkeep with 15 production
  • start round 5
    • -1 upkeep
    • bank: $2, Sci 8, Ma 13
    • production: $12, Sc 6, Ma 4 One cube from orbital unassigned.
  • No hex on far side.
    • Less to protect
    • no thorn in their side. Khell's front door is safe.
    • Can afford to put cube on mats. so $12, 6, 3

I think the orbital cube has to go back to science or money doesn't it? it can't go back on materials

I'd be tempted to keep the hex on the far side of the GC, so you have the flexibility to build some ships over there and cause havoc... but I wouldn't be desperately trying to hang onto it as it's not a great hex for you (though it is for d'rek).

I think you are going to be depending on having more moves than tapper/drek/khell to cause maximum havoc, but I'm not sure you can do that... but even just having that hex and the potential to build ships is going to constrain their actions

In any case, I think I should be able to deal with Khell and/or morgoth if he gets greedy (and I have the materials to recover from any ship losses regardless), the main issue is probably going to be helping you gain back some hexes.

If d'rek is tied up tatts should be able to deal with Khell from his end.

crap. you're right about the cube.

Khell probably shouldn't be so enthusiastic. The Spanish Inquisition is still out there waiting:

Good old loyal to a fault Tapper could easily change sides this round. He'd be a boon to Morgy and CF. Besides being very eager to be friendly with Morgy, he left D'rek out to dry in Aldebaran.

Hey what about me?

I'm the thorn that you just can't quite dig out festering, hopefully leading to blood poisoning and in extreme cases, death.

I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

More like a mild case of the sniffles, annoying, but we all know it's not really that serious.

Oh, I'm not forgetting you at all. I don't blame Tatts for sulking. Those were damn lucky rolls.

Oh man, I really cannot wait for next round, I'm so excited! Your dismissiveness is really funny to read. Just remember that at the end of the next round :)

Do we need to wait on anyone before starting cleanup?

I'm fairly sure you can only ever join one alliance per game, but your shoddy attempts at sowing discontent are noted :)

I don't think so as most everyone else's upkeep looks to be very straightforward.

I'm not dismissing you at all.

But you're about to find out that spreading yourself it hell and gone is not generally a good idea.

Twelve, feel like telling us which direction you're going to pick?

He can't pick rotation without a tech draw! Are we going to get tech before I go to bed? the ashes can only keep me up for so long.

This is the correct order of things isn't it IH?

I was the last one officially in combat phase.

Tatts' upkeep is simple.

So there's no reason not to do the Nova rolls?
