You just can't bring yourself to let another faction have the last word of the round, even if it means bankrupting yourself and your teammates in order to win some sort of Pyrrhic victory at the close of the round. "Got to do something that they don't see coming!"

But, please, don't let me stop you. Go Reaction Action Squadron Go!

My suggestion would mean Tatts spending a full action on a single build. At worst, his new cruiser is positioned in a tactically important spot. If one of you is doesn't pass then he could go after your cruiser.
I understood IH invading Twelve right after I sent ships into Tapper's hex; the loss of my two interceptors is more than justified by the gain of Twelve's homeworld.

Tatts passing was a bit meh. But again i can see the advantage to getting first tech.

I was fully expecting you to buy the warp portal. If you didn't I was prepared to get it next round just to keep it out of Twelve's hands. Drop it in the hex your cruiser is in now and it was defused and made that hex worth another VP.

What has me irked is Tatts sending his dread to the far side of the supernova and IH passing with his own dread just sitting in the hive. I don't understand either of those. If Tatts had moved to 304 to block any possible Twelve retreat we could have him blocked in until the nova blows. Now it's Tatts' dread thats trapped whether the nova blows this round or not. All Twelve has to do is build a ship in the nova.

And wtf is up with 5 guests watching the thread?

I don't have the moves to move my dread, after khell passed I could feasibly do one reaction, but that is best saved for a full move next time, as there is nowhere I can move it in a reaction that will be worthwhile.

Re tatts, I think gaining that system will be better long term, twelve is still going to have difficulty escaping to do any harm.

Re reacting to help you, I think we are better doing that next turn. Reacting now it's unlikely tatts can do a great deal, but next turn with the extra moves he gets from not reacting he can crush khell, and get you some systems.

Are you going to react now and attack drek? That looks to be a good move if you can afford it. An interceptor in range of drek and khells homeworlds will be useful.

I think he is going to react and move the interceptor into enemy territory. From there he can build interceptors next go and wreak havoc

IH if Adv economy does not come next round I am thinking computers and star bases. What are your thoughts regarding first purchase? Plasma cannons and computers?

I want to know if Tapper is using his pulsar this turn or passing.

But I will PASS in either case.

@ D'rek:

Are you able to reaction build a ship in Aldebaran? Gnaw's interceptor only has one set of missiles and no computers.

The pass was mostly to make the Reaction Squad know when I'll react and make turns go quicker, smoother and happier.

@Morgoth,
I see what you're saying about WH generators. We can both afford it, but it's a huge expense right now for us and for others...as a purely defensive move it might be a bit premature - especially with potential for good weapons/computer technology available.
I'm thinking more that it might be a good idea to pick up a source, computer and weapon instead. I could do all 3 next round with the science and extra money I'll have. Alternatively, I could spend it on something big. Go straight for Gluon computers, or even Quantum grid to net me some actions+money for later rounds.
Gluon computers are likely to be around a few rounds yet though...probably better to try and get weapons tech and sources right away, yes?

It's hard to get everything we want, but I agree that you should go for techs that will benefit you defensively. A source and better weapons are a must to be sure. You can't use Gluon before you get a source of some kind at any rate. I would hold off on the quantum grid I think, as military defense should be our, or at least your goal right now I reckon.

As it's your turn now that Morgoth has passed I highly recommend that you pass as well ending the round. I think it's better that you do not use the pulsar as it gives Gnaw a chance to react and move his interceptors out of your hex and gives you a very good chance of destroying both.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I agree, but I think it's too late for that now, the pulsar action was submitted. Oh well.

So presumably Gnaw is going to move his ship into one of the nearby systems, then we wait on Tapper for confirmation of final pass/not pass, then we can get some battles going!

EDIT: I don't suppose we'll get Tatts first move before he goes? I'm sure it's going to be research advanced economy or positron comps, but i suppose the tech draw might throw something new into the mix.

Yup. If Gnaw bypasses Tapper's interceptor, than instead of passing Tapper can move his interceptor to wherever Gnaw's interceptor ends up, though, and we'll have another round of no reactions to go through.

Well i presume he's going to move an interceptor to 107, 102 or 208, they each have their appeal. I'd probably go 107 or 208, so he'd be moving his dread

Yaaaaaaaaawn.

I propose next game we ban reactions except for purely defensive reasons, i.e. if someone invades your territory :)
